Areeba is a greedy and selfish poor girl who found a suitable prospect in Faris (who was already engaged to Zamal) because he was rich. They got married way before Zamal and Faris got married.

She felt that Rohaan would not be able to provide for her needs because he isn't inclined towards business, rather just someone who just isn't driven enough to achieve much.

The duo also got engaged way after Areeba married

Yeah. I also found that really weird but Rohaan has broken up with her after being told about her marriage with Faris, by his friend who wants to marry Areeba's sister.

Is the guy who wants to marry Areeba's sister related to them at all? I saw some clips but I wasn't sure what his relation is to Faaris, or Rohaan.

He is Rohaan's best friend, more like a brother to him. 😊

So Areeba and Faris have entered the house and Zamal's parents find out and take her to their house. Zamal is heartbroken. Her brother feels really bad for her because he feels she does not need to go through all of this, as she was such a good friend to Zamal. Sadia (Areeba's sister) is doing well with Rafail but then Zamal's mom came to tell Rafail's mom what Areeba did and then she thinks if Areeba did that why wouldn't Sadia and she tells Rafail to not get engaged to Sadia and he gets really mad about this as he knows Sadia is not like her sister. Then Zamal's friend goes to talk to her, and Zamal says she wants divorce from Faris as she was never happy with him, she can't even give baddua to Areeba as Faaris had a choice too.
