There is always a balance. You want to drag stories to some extent as you don't want to run out of a story too quickly, but at the same time, you can't drag too much. And like you said, each episode needs more balance, not showing Malhar's humiliation and negativity all the time.

When the audience is interested in the story (as TRPs are going up), CVS should keep a good pace and show some positive things as well. If they keep dragging, the audience will lose interest in the story and it will be hard to win back that interest.

That's what happened before. Since September 2019, the audience has slowly been losing interest. TRPs when from 2.0/2.1 to 1.7/1.8 and then mid 1.4/1.5 and post lockdown less than 1.0. Now it is finally going back up, people are tuning in, so hope CVS don't miss this opportunity.
