Riddhima

She is a beautiful and a naive girl.A physiotherapist but also helps her friend in party planning.Except for the fact that she is an orphan ,nothing else is known about her past.When her friend says how unfortunate they are as they have no one to be called as family,Riddhima disagrees with her and speaks positively that if thier parents did not want them,they would have never come into this world .She appears to be a person who cant hate anyone.But behind this beautiful woman,there is a kid which craves for a mother ,a father,a sibling.When she falls fo kabir,he becomes her everything ,In short he is not only her lover but also the family she always wanted.For the kid in her,family was always an unattained dream and when she gets it in the form of kabir,she cant stop herself from showering him with her pent up feelings.She loves him limitleslly,more than a lover she sees him as the home which she always craved for .When she is asked by kabir to go to the enemy to prove her love,she finds that nothing in front of her lifelong dream.According to her ,Vansh is a devil who is blocking her from getting what she had always craved for.She hates him for that.her hatred towards him grows when she sees how he controls everyone .She is blinded by her hatred towards him that she goes around accusing him for everything.The hatred does not allow her to see his true self.

Instead of mantaining a low profile and gaining the trust of everyone before doing her job.She jumps at the first chance and ends up getting caught.Her need for an happily ever after often makes her behave stupidly though she is smart.

She has not yet realised but she does have a soft spot for the devil.During the painting fiasco,even after knowing the real culprit ,she does not reveal it as she does not want to break the mother son duo keeping her goal at stake.The things she was doing for kabir and herself,she happily sacrifices it for the person she claims to hate.Even when she hates him ,she had attempted to sacrifice her dream.Dont know what she would do when she falls for him.

When she has a nightmare of her lover getting killed,she shouts "vansh" purely indicating that subconsciouslly she had ended up accepting him as a husband .The violent behaviour of her husband is more shocking for her than the fact that kabir getting killed.The nightmare was due to the fears that got woven by her brain.The reaction instead was from her heart which cares a lot for him.Her brain hates him but her heart cares for him.

But in all this confusion,she had stepped into the trap.The already built web of lies ,deciet ,betrayal,hatred and anger has found its victim in riddhima.There are multiple enemies,some playing their own games while some being the pawns,whatever it is she is falling very deep into this dark pit without her realizing it.Her obsession towards proving vansh a criminal is growing that it has somehow crossed the love towards kabir.

Even if she comes out succesfully,she wont be the same girl who she once was.She is losing herself in this game along with the part which had loved kabir.

The way she is not able to lie at first proves that she has never lied in her life.Then she goes on to lie so confidently that she can be proclaimed the queen of lies indicates how she is loosing herself.But the goodness in her is still intact,the way she grieves for a strangers death proves that .

Whatever it is ,she is trapped baddly.Kabir is anything but a "knight in a shining armor".Vansh is the most complicated character and his intentions are not yet known .It is not clear if he had laid the trap or he himself is trapped but vansh unlike riddhima knows his enemies.

I think even Vansh knows that she is a pure soul despite her lies. I think thats the reason of him being soft with her. I Cant imagine Vansh to be so soft with anyone else if they had dared to do what she did all this while .

Vansh said in starting episodes that Riddhima dimag se ni dil se sochti hai, so without any solid proofs against her, he cannot harm her. Maybe Vansh knows about Ridhbir plan but he just want Riddhima to be protected. And even if he don't know it yet, he is still giving Riddhima benefit of doubt Everytime to prove herself right. I just hope Riddhima soon realises that not all things are strictly black and white there are grey shades too, that Kabir and vansh have layers to their characters,

I too wish the same coz at the way she has been sorrounded by enemies,she needs someone to guide her.

This is such an insightful and well written post regarding Rhiddima. I agree with all your observations.. right from the outset I said Rhiddu was in love with the idea of love and Kabir represented that love.. he may be her first love but he may not be her last love,

Unknowingly Kabir has given her all that she longed for in epi 1 by telling her to go to Vansh as a spy initially, through Vansh sge foes not realise it yet but she will get love, a family, and to belong.. a life without drama..(thats the only bit that went wrong). She herself told Segal that the heart doesnt choose over intelligence when it comes to love..that was true at the time she was with Kabir before entry of Vansh.. it was a fairytale love story of her and Kabir.. so yes, it makes sense to ptotect her illusion of fairy tale even though she is badly trapped now and the more desperate she is to find any evidence aganst Vansh the deeper she will fall and fail.

You are right, subconsciously she is realising her marriage even as she fights against it..her own alterego told her so the day Vansh told her he would marry her in 3 days, the day she smashed the mirror, thats why she wants to escape.

She certainly is not the same girl who entered the show in epi 1. If she gave a 360deg turn to Vansh's life then tge same is happening to her. She cannot enter and expect tp change people's lives without the same happening to her.

Todays epi 47 for the first time amogst thw comical scenes for me and the so obvious trap spun by Vansh for her with the dress, gifts and photos ectc was a moment of awakening. Yes Vansh was pushing all buttons, he is the consumate gentleman & would never cross the line with her when it comes to enforcing intimacy.. she knows that he would never hurt her..but the moment that triggered me was the realusation that in her desperation to gather evidence for Kabir, just how far she had fallen in herself...for the first time she was really afraid because she realises that somewhere deep deep inside Kabir destroyed her fairytale, once by telling her to go to Vansh and on her wedding day to marry Vansh and get closevto him..how far did Kabir expect her to go to in order to collect evidence and this is what struck me today.. she nor Vansh would cross this line on enforced intimacy I hope but it was the relisation in those brief moments during the dance that awakened in her.. the rest about photos, gifts etc I lookesd on as comedy.

Your observation that her obsession to prove Vansh a criminal is greater than her love for Kabir and I dont think she has understood she has crossed that line becsuse her day and night is seemingly consumed with Vansh one way or another.

How she comes out of this drama to full awakening & how powerfully her character develops I will be really interested to see
