Okay before you guys jump on reading I must inform you that here the story is a bit different. As you can understand from the name of the story, yes it is the story of forbidden feelings. Well let's see how? Don't bash me please. I adore you all.
Now without further ado here is the first part.
Forbidden Desire
Part 1
The Roy Choudhury were the epitome of wealth and prosperity. They were among the richest people in the city, and had thus garnered much respect in the society. They had different businesses, under the care of Binoy Roy Choudhury, the second son of Roy Choudhury. Awhile the elder brother took care of finances and farming of all the twenty acres of land and was unmarried.
Binoy was once married to a beautiful woman who was a traditional woman, much to unhappiness of Binoy. She was his stark opposite in everyway and thus apt for him, he begrudgingly couldn't deny this fact. And when she felt the world, Binoy turned cold.
He had three sons: Anirudh the eldest, who was currently completing his studies in London. Batuk who was following his elder brother and aspired tonbe a barrister.and then the youngest, Batuk who was in his initial stages of studies.
Everything was perfectly set, and then entered Bondita and Sumati, her mother. Trilochan Roy Choudhury was friends with Arvind Das, who was resident of his village. It was a friendship of youth when the bars of caste and rank was blurry. However as the time passed, they grew apart. But the feelings in the heart never really parted. And when sumati came to his door, the widow of his friend and his daughter, he was left with little choice but to ask them to live there in the guest quarters.
Initially things looked burdensome but soon the duo mother-daughter adjusted to the new style of living. Bondita as usual became friends with all the servants and even trilochan kaka would emjoy her talks and tarks. He could feel his ever so inquisitive friend in her.
Already 3 years had passed now she was 11year old. She would spend time with Batuk who was nearest to her age and he also liked her as she was mischievous and would plan it out with him.
One day, at dawn Bondita brought Marigold and hibiscus flowers for offering as usual when while making baati Bondita started asking him questions regarding who and why we do prayer , and then little irritated he said, "you ask so many ques bondita! When my Anirudh returns with his law degree, he will shut you up." And then started telling her about Anirudh, who was coming back from London, while Bondita kept listening to him. She always liked listening about this mysterious man on whom she had spent three years of her life listening about- from kakaji, Som bhaiya and Batuk.
She felt unusually happy when they would talk about him or when she would clean his room, sometimes, when she went to his room to look at the pictures in the several books piled up in the shelves.
She was a no none to RCs but had become an integral part of the household. However their was just one person who never gave any acknowledgement to her existence, and that was Binoy, who was too caught up in his own life and ambitions.
" So kaka ji, is he really returning?" Bondita asked to which Kakji nodded smiling.
" Will he allow me to read the pictures of the books in his room?" She inquired.
" Ofcourse! But you may have to ask his permission. From now on don't enter his room. Okay?" Trilochan calmly said.
"But why kaka ji?" Eleven year old asked
" Because he is not like Batuk, he is elder to you... You should always ask for permission. Like you do with Som?"
Bondita nodded but felt a bit sad about not able to go to his room whenever she wanted to. She was so used to spending time there that now it felt like an obstruction, his coming back, even when it was his house she was living in. She shook her head at the range of thoughts coming in.
" Ji Kakaji" she finally said. And then she went to her quaters where her mother was preparing food and started to dutifully help her.
" You came early today? What happened? Did anyone say anything to you?" Her mother asked.
She nodded for a no, but seemed a bit sad.
"Then, why are you sad?" Her mother asked. " Come, sit with me and tell me" she coaxed.
" Maa... He is coming back and kaka ji said that now I cannot go to his room" Bondita told her mother.
" Who is coming back?" She inquired
" Batuk's elder brother" Bon replied
" Yes... So... Bondita, he is elder to you, how can you go to his room without his permission?" her mother tried to make her understand
"But maa, till now I used to go there, see the colorful pictures in the books in his room." Bon said
" Bondi... At that time he was not here, but now he is... If someone wants to come to our house... Can they enter like that? Without permission? Especially if we don't know them?" Her maa asked
Bon nodded for a no.
"Do you know why? Because we don't know them. Same way he doesn't know you... But when he will then may be he will allow you to see those pictures." Her maa said.
Bondita's eyes lit up and she smiled thinking something and said happily, " then I will ask him" and then turned towards her mother and said making a puppy face, " maa, I am hungry... What are you making?" And then went along the day.
