So, I spent all of Monday binge watching Ishq Mein Marjawan.... I came across a promo and more than the actors (who are all new to me) it's the plot and that stunning OST that told me, okay lets give is a try since it appears to have some of favorite guilty pleasure tropes.
I don't know when or how but I fell for stone faced Vansh Rai Singhania, who I keep thinking/waiting to transform into a werewolf any momentđđł I'll be honest and don't kill me ladies and gentleman, at first I was like... Why is his face the equivalent of an Ironing Board. It felt like, someone took an iron and ironed his face. No wrinkles, no lines, no expressions what-so-ever. And so stiff... uff.... that posturer. His like an unmovable mountain so stiff and suborn, someone who could withstand and protect you from all storms. However at the same time, you have to remember his human and because his so relentlessly "stiff," his not bendable, oh no no no. His breakable. One hard push and that beautiful man will break before you for you. However to break him you must find your way inside him. And when and how he breaks, it could destroy you or it could give you immeasurable power to rule this mans heart and world. And once you have him, you need not say a word, he'll break himself for you, if that's what you wanted. But to own him you must first surrendering yourself to him.
It was his interactions with Ridhma on the cruse... the way he looks at her. Uff the way he looks at her. How his stoned eyes for a flicker of moment melt into softness. How he steals glances at her when she's not looking and then how he bluntly stares at her unapologetically. Uff Uff Uff.... I repeat UFF. We all know, the man has been attracted to her since day uno. His wanted her close to him since the moment he met her, this whole reason of a marriage is a scam. It's his way of lying to himself and not admitting to himself he wants her. He keeps repeating to everyone and her to never break his trust. To never betray him.... and yet... he knows.... He knows he can't trust her therefor she will betray him sooner or later ... yet he still keeps her close like a treasure because he can't let go. He say's he's waiting for evidence, waiting for one wrong move. But are you really?
Can you punish her without punishing yourself?
I told myself to give the show another week. Told myself, lets see how the story unfolds this week and next week and than join IF. And fangirl âşď¸Because a) Life is a little demanding till next week and b) I'm so used to shows turning crappy in a flash of when I start watching them. It's like I'm cursed. But that Sindoor scene today. I've NEVER seen anything like it before. Maybe because I don't watch too many Indian shows. Sindoor falling is very common but Vansh using his WEDDING RING to fill her maang!!! *Screaminginternally* I've never seen anything like it. So much symbolism in this epsiode. What a scene. I really hope we get a scene in the future where he succeeds in applying sindoor with his ring.
Also, I have to give a shout out to Ridhma. Gurl, why so beautiful. I LOVE how she keeps her make-up minimal and her dresses too (most times). Seriously, most actresses on Indian television have such loud make up and are dressed like they have a wedding to attend every day of the year.
