You don't have to be an insider to be an AD, there are many AD's that are outsiders aswell, for example sidharth malhotra was an AD for My name is Khan

Plus ranveer was an AD for adverts, not movies, and he was qualified to do the job as he worked as a copywriter for an advertising firm, he earned the job

I've met him once when I was really young (2004) when he came during the Temptation tour to Toronto . He was super nice. I have a picture with him cuz we had VIP (my dad worked at the Air Canada Centre, the venue they performed at). My entire family loves SRK for that reason alone. Super nice. Met him during IIFAA awards when it happened in Toronto again. Waited outside his hotel for a picture and autograph. Again, super nice and smells great. Lol. He's a star but you feel comfortable in his presence. He appreciates his fans which is apparent. He didn't avoid the fans waiting outside the hotel like many do.

This is SRK charm. He respects other human beings.

He studied creative writing and theater in University. He worked as a copywriter . He then got to work as AD for ad films. He did Theater with Richa . He did a small show with Aditi Rao Hydari before auditioning for BBB.

He worked his way up. He didn’t get movies curated for him. He didn’t have directors lining up for him. He made it happen.

Now, people like kjo who wanted him ousted from BW want him in their movies.

Being a AD is a good thing. Atleast as an actor the person would not be complete nightmare to the crew.

One of my batchmates used to be a AD in many hindi serials. You can enter as an AD with some degree in communication. I do not remember her exact degree.

Yeh, becoming an AD is not impossible for an outsider, you just need the right qualifications, and Ranveer was qualified to work on advert shoots

Again ranveer is not an outsider the person who attended private birthday parties of high profile people and their kids can never be an outsider
