The Bahraini government has taken legal action so quickly against that lady even though they never even had the need to. They identify as an Islamic country.

And Indians are so quick to point fingers at a country that doesn't even care for them and is giving their people employment and opportunities. Sahi kahaa kuch logo ne, if you have such a huge problem then leave the country. First sort the problems in india before jumping elsewhere ._.

As someone who grew up as a Hindu in Bahrain they've been nothing but welcoming to other nationalities/religions. This is one lone incident against the many happening in india on a daily basis.

Sorry, but it’s not funny. Let’s remember culture and religion are separate here, albeit interlinked in India. Seeing multiple Ganpati idols chucked like that is not the least bit funny. It’s downright offensive and disgusting. Also, what legal action has been taken? They’ve literally just summoned the woman and that’s all right?

Totally appreciate you have first hand experience but the way the UAE treats desis is appalling. My cousins have been born and brought up in Dubai. Yet, they will never have an Emirati passport. Despite working his whole life as a CA in Dubai, my uncle was unable to retire there and continue living there. But come to the West, and look at the uproar from those very same people on how dare passports not be given to asylum seekers and refugees and economic migrants. Double standards.

Did you even read my post? I NEVER said that the idols being pushed away was funny. That was horribly disgusting. And she has been arrested for your kind information. But indians crying as usual about something happening in another country is funny.

First solve the religious tension is your own county before telling people in other countries how to behave.

Also very nice. Just like how whole of South india is grouped as one state by many North Indians, you conveniently brought in UAE as if all gulf countries are the same. Bahrain and UAE are two different countries with major differences in how they treat their expats.

Asylum seekers are mostly from Syria. Stop clubbing all gulf countries. Typical.

And im sorry but bahrain allows indians to buy houses and retire and settle in Bahrain itself.

Anyone’s religious sentiments being hurt through such mockery isn’t funny. Full stop. The level of whataboutery is mental. Say something about x or you don’t have a right to talk about y.

Lol i’m not getting in to a south vs north debate. I’m sure Bahrain is very different to the UAE. It’s humans rights record speaks for itself.

@bold - What? You wouldn’t want to be a citizen of the only place you have ever know to be home but of a foreign country instead?

On a complete side note - I made a stopover in Bahrain en route to India this year. Never again will I fly that route! Best lounge ever but truly the worst airport I have ever been to.
