Same here. For me too, Dhoni is cricket. I don’t see any other thinkers out there in the team. His intelligence was beyond just cricketing strategy. Anyway, this is the ebb and flow of life. The benchmarks he set at leadership is impossibly tough to achieve.

The last time I was so emotional on somebody's retirement, it was Dravid.

Will miss dhoni. He was a thorough gentleman. And the most successful captain india ever had . In his reign, we finally won all major tournaments . Plus his leadership skills were exemplary.

Hopefully he will be in csk for next couple of years.

Actually, true. Dravid’s retirement was tough on me too. Not so much Sachin. And Dhoni’s exceptional performance as a captain is all the more obvious when we compare him to say Sachin within the same sport or Messi in soccer. Messi is a footballer beyond extraordinary and an exceptional human being, but as captain, he is average. Captainship is not easy and Dhoni was just so perfect every which way to hold the position. A true leader. The team reached heights beyond our expectations with him.
