Your argument is faulty. The population is determined by the number of girls/women in society and how many kids they have. Men don't give birth to babies. For example, if there are 50 women and 50 men in society and each woman has two kids, the Next generation population would be 100. It does not matter if all 50 women had these kids from one man or 50 men. Some of the men won't have partners or kids in this case. That's it.

No, population is determined by Hum Do Humare Do. That way when the parents die, they leave same number of people in this world and the population doesn't grow. Going by the hum do humare do rule, Kareena should have calculated first that Saif already had two kids. There are three parents in this case: Saif, Amrita, Kareena. So for them the rule would be hum 3 humare 3. That way when these three would die, they would leave the same number of offsprings. And the population would remain the same.
