Alia is definitely a better actress than Jhanvi, and yet even Gunjan Saxena trailer didn't receive so much flak.

This is actually pretty harsh. I don't get the excessive hate. I actually feel bad for her, and she's not my favorite by any means, as most people here know.

How can it be excessive when the movie itself is a production of Bhatt?? The movie belongs to the same Bhatt who has allegedly called Sushant Psychotic and claimed that he went Parveen Babi way. It's produced by the same Bhatts who are somehow connected to Sushant's death. Sushant was taken to the same Cooper Hospital post his death where Parveen Babi was taken, the hospital was quite far from his resident. So many eerily connection, on the top of that Rhea was constantly in touch with Mahesh even after Sushant died...After all these things people are ought to go to the video link and press dislikes there. This trailer is not only about Alia, it's about Bhatts. Alia has done a cringeworthy job so she deserves the backlashes anyways, she is not an angel either, she is proud to be daddy's girl. Years after years Alia was taking roles on the platter so now everything that's happening to all of them are their own Karma, telling in Sonam style.

The movie has all the ingredients to trigger an already angered mob: industry kids who do the bare minimum and represent the mediocrity nepotism breeds, AND produced/directed by two brothers who led the charge of a discussion that labeled a deceased man as a mentally unstable person, who was slowly “slipping away”,going the “Parveen Babi way”, helping to push a narrative that could have possibly aided in the cover-up of a possible murder, or abetment to suicide case. Those disgusting vultures(Bhatt brothers) don’t deserve to rake in more money and be excused for their abhorrent behavior.

That I agree, but why do I feel it would have got the same amount of dislikes even if the trailer was good? Because people were commenting they had come just to dislike the trailer, which is an unhealthy trend.
