Badar can't make dramas with happy endings, from Aisi Hai Tanhai to Balaa to Cheekh to Ishqia , he knows only how to torture his viewers.😡

Didn't Feroz say that he's not coming in any more dramas?

I wasn't expecting it to take such a depressing turn at the end. I guess they showed Rumi starting to bounce back though.

I was thinking watching today's episodes- there were a lot of snippets from these last two episodes that were part of the OST. I thought that was kind of strange.

So I shouldn't expect any joy from Dunk either, should I?

I was kind of looking forward to that one, lol.

It's ironic that the couple that got the happy ending was the one (almost) noone was rooting for..#failqiya

The premise of the marriage was a sham but not the whole cause Hamza did start loving her. Also they did not have to show Rumi immediately forgiving Hamza..even Rumi Hamza fans did not expect that, they could have kept it open ended like yeh dil mera or shown Rumi softening after a time leap like she softened to Hamna.

Both humna and humza were in the wrong. But humza became dark. No one can push you in to being a criminal. conscience bhi koi cheez hoti hai.

Lol conscience is one thing but this is a drama which is a piece of fiction. And in a work of fiction, character development is what matters the most and Hamza was the only character which had it. He started off as a grey character bordering on dark and eventually turned over a new leaf. He was the only character who maintained the momentum of the drama along with pre revelation Rumi. This is why giving him an ending like that not only dumped the entire development into the drain but also made the show pointless and anticlimactic. People tune in to fictional shows as a means of escape from reality. This is why endings like these are the final nail in the coffin for a show as average as Ishqiya.

Also I don't mind sad endings as long as they are satisfactory and this show's ending was far from it. A sad but satisfying ending would have been for both Rumza and Hajmola to part ways as it would have proved that Karma doesn't spare anyone. I'll stick to my stand.Hamza and Hamna were equally guilty and if one was punished then the other one shouldn't have been spared either.Except Hamza actually admitted his blunders and repented for them unlike Hamna who was forcefully painted as a victim and whose every single blunder was sugarcoated. Let's not forget the writers didn't merely separated Rumza. They robbed Hamza of his sanity despite the fact that his offence wasn't even that grave. Unlike Gul E Rana and Yeh Dil Mera where the female leads broke off their toxic relationships with the respective male leads thus giving the dramas a bittersweet yet logical ending,Ishqiya's ending barely made any sense. Forget equal punishment. There was not even a proper balance between Hamza and Hamna's consequences. The writers completely destroyed Hamza's life while giving Hamna a happily ever after and this bias and hypocrisy of their's just took the show deeper into the gutter. In simple words, the ending was senseless and dissatisfying.

Their marriage was the turning point of the drama. It was basically what took the drama ahead. Had Hamza's character remained the same or changed for the worse then it would have made sense for Rumi to completely break off ties with him at the end and erase him from her mind.

However his character changed for the better and repented for his mistakes. Of course no one was expecting Rumi to run into his arms right away but an open ending like YDM or showing their reunion after a time leap would have definitely made more sense.

But the fact that she forgave her so called sister but not Hamza just added to the colossal mess which was that horrendous ending.
