As someone who takes the exact same flight to Kozhikode SO often, I can't tell you how stressful it is. The airport is unsafe to the say the least. The length of the runway doesn't meet the safety standards and it being a table top airport means that any small miscalculation, and it falls right down 30-40 feet.

I'm not usually relieved until I step out of the flight because even when its taking rounds, you can't be assured.

Mangalore airport was/is same.. don't know they have upgraded yet or not.. There was a similar plane crash in 2010.

I'm usually calm during landing in other airports but in Mangalore airport would be relieved only once i get off plane.😆

Then immediately such airports should be stopped. all old airports should be examined. Udan scheme's new airports should also again be examined. Having target of more airports is not good. Just improve the existing ones.
