I don’t think she’s his love interest. I think she’s there to provide background and context for Vanshs character and to show part of the reason why he is the way he is. And there’s no point in having them get married if they just want to break them up; it would be a complete waste.

In IMM1 it was Tara the audience saw first because she killed the guy and Tara was played by the same actress for a long time hence the chemistry. Tara was also a psychopath . . .
