Okay kudos to the show for bringing to light transgender issues, the lack of understanding and acceptance in society.. but WHAT was the need to villify Niketan? If anything it made it more of a problem.

Its such a sensitive issue and to present it as a person who will commit crimes to hide their trueself. that isnt OKAY. it should be presented differently.

I a happy to hear saransh say "koi baat nahi cute lag rahe ho." but to even make saransh go to the legnths of tattling on the nanu.. he could have been presented as keeping his secret and the adults finding all of it out themselves

but all for the juicy story.

unreal.

I did feel bad for Niketan. He can’t be himself because of the society and it’s sad to keep a part of yourself hidden. He is right though. I doubt his own daughters will accept him as he is. He is a nice person and he genuinely cared for Preesha and Saraansh. But alas, it had to go down like this. He shouldn’t have kidnapped Saraansh. What he is is not wrong, but what he did in order to keep it a secret is very wrong. It’s just sad.

At the end of the day, it’s all because of the society. People don’t accept others the way they want to be. It’s sad that Mishka and Ahaana do not support their dad, but at least I’m glad Preesha did and even stood up for him. And regarding the vilifying thing, I do agree CVs could’ve handled the situation in a more better manner, but in a way it also brings out what the people of our society lead these people to do, even though it’s totally normal. I’ll just hope this matter will be addressed in upcoming episodes in a better manner. A few scenes related to how it’s all normal and stuff, would be a okay enough thing.

I agree. People like Niketan are so scared about the society that they are pushed to do such extreme things to hide their desires and orientation. In a way Niketan kidnapping Saaransh only shows how much the society has vilified the LGBTQ community to such an extent that they are forced to live under the closet and do such things to hide their identity.
Even I am not very happy with words like ‘weakness’ being thrown around by Preesha herself. But I guess at leats this is a start which will cause people to think and discuss about it openly.

Yes! It isn’t a weakness. Use of certain words can entirely change what the other person says.

Agreed...even i cringed whenever Preesha called it his weakness. I think the dialogue writers could have done a better job. They could have used words like "truth" or "reality" rather than weakness.
