Even Hrithik had a series of flops before his dad made Koi mil gaya and Krishh.

Most of them would have struggled, especially the newer generations. Sonakshi, Sonam, Varun, Arjun (who is still struggling and never made it), Ananya, Ishaan, Jhanvi. All of them would've struggled. Sara Ali Khan has a very pretty face but she would've been another Kriti khanbanda type. From older generation Ranbir. Ranbir is super talented but the type of movies that made him so famous most likely would've never gone to him had he not been a star kid.

Here are people who I think would've made it even if they were outsiders

I think Kareena would've been more or less the same in the long run because she came at a time when there was space for outsiders to shine. She would've had to struggle harder, maybe like Priyanka but I think she would've made it. The thing about Kareena is that she never seems to give up and walk away. So she would've eventually landed at the same place. In fact I think she would've done better projects if her star kid ego didn't get in the way.

Hrithik. Without his perfect debut he would've struggled as well but given his looks he still would've been unlike all the other leading actors. So he would've made it. When he came in very few actors had such good looks and talent at the same time. In early 2000s either you had looks like Arjun Rampal, and John Abraham or you had talent. Hrithik had both. And his dancing was better than others. Like Kareena maybe he would've also chosen better projects if so much of his time wasn't consumed by the terrible krrish franchise.

Tiger. He would've struggled to get an action movie like Heropanti while looking like a middle school boy. But post transformation he would've made it. The path would've been longer but there are no actors who do his genre. He also doesn't work with the typical big names. It's weird he worked with Kjo.

Alia- I don't quite know where to put her. I am 50/50 on her. She definitely would not have the fame and following without the backing she got from being KJo's "daughter". She is also not pretty compared to the bollywood outsiders. Almost every actress is prettier than her in my opinion except for Jhanvi maybe. So I can't see who would've invested in her and hired her for her first few movies. In SOTY is she any better at acting than Sana? I think Ananya was better in SOTY 2 than her in 1. Having said that she is super ambitious. So I think she would've done her best to forge a new path. Something like Tapsee but not exactly because Tapsee is seen as an intelligent person and Alia as Bollywood's Paris Hilton.

Alia would have been out the door before she could even open her mouth. If she somehow found her way in to an elite club by faking her ID or namedropping, and managed to get hold of KJo's secretary's number, she would have then harassed the secretary with 109485643482 calls for a year or two. 😭 Hello, it's me, can you hear me? None. Most of the star kids are entitled and lazy. The grit and determination needed to audition day and night, and make it up the hard way - they just don't have. Half of them aren't even passionate enough to go and learn acting and filmmaking properly in school. It takes a completely different attitude which most just don't have.

As if the outsiders who made it are super talented 😆

All of them except hrithik Roshan and kareena kapoor. I think these two would have clicked with the audience regardless. Family name does not disappear but they also had the X factor.

Alia bhatt, ananya Pandey- they would have struggled

Jhanvi kapoor and sara-they would have attained popularity on family name initially.

People are acting like the outsider stars are way better than the insider stars. They are all comparable more or less. If you are genuinely a star today, it is because the audience saw something in you. They would have seen those same qualities if you were an outsider (although it would have taken a much longer journey).

Half of the names mentioned here like Sonam, Arjun, Abhishek aren't really stars. They can barely open movies so they would've struggled.

All the star kids that had failed launches and continued to get multiple chances after that would've not even been known at all.

Star kids like Hrithik, Ranbir, Varun, Tiger, Alia, Sara, etc. that saw instant audience acceptance would've been stars eventually.

Barring Hrithik , Rani and maybe Farhan, nobody would.

KonKona would have been a bigger star if talent was accounted for more than Promotions.

Not every starkid is useless and not every outsider is talented (Katrina) .
