When will these people understand? Nepotism isn't the issue. Talentless star kids who are given preference over talented actors is the issue. Talentless star kids whose way is paved by eliminating others who might pose a threat, by way of underhand tactics, is an issue.
These articles really emphasise how stupid BW actors are, and how freaking smart Sushant was.
Exactly, it's baffling how people aren't getting the point.
The dumbest thing I heard about the whole thing was KJo defending himself by putting forth the argument that Alia is Mahesh Bhatt's daughter and not his so it's not nepotism Like whaaaaat
It's about misuse of power. It's about things like Salman lobbying for Daisy Shah to be a part of InshaAllah (🤢) over people like Tripti Dimri who'd actually nail those kind of roles. It's about the absence of meritocracy, a world where talented people full of dreams are putting in so much of effort, struggling to pay for portfolios, getting rejected during auditions simply because some powerful producer may have recommended people like Ananya Panday for the role. It's about the presence of something called 'parallel cinema' which has typecast people like Konkona Sen Sharma, Vikrant Massey and Kalki Koechlin.
How I wish Sushant had stayed far away from Bollywood and carried on with Stanford.
