Please tell me how a rank newcomer from a regular middle class family trying to make a mark even afford such PR-Pap packages?

What part of unless there are financial constraints did you miss?

When you become part of ab industry, you gotta adjust to the rules.. a good PR company, exposure, paps, portfolios are all part and parcel of a career in glamor world.. haven't you heard how many actors do small roles/ads for bills and to make their portfolios? Talent is undoubtedly important but so is exposure and this exposure comes from financial input.. Shahrukh once danced at an event just to get the cash flow to build the set for HNY climax..

None of these starkids would be papped if they didn't pay the paps.. you think anyone is interested in Malaika's gym outing or Sunny Leone with her kids? It's all money

You actually think these new actors dont do events? wedding appearances ? print ads? If getting clicked by all the paps and pics getting splashed across famous portals was this affordable then we would have a lot of newcomers do that. You think they do not know that they have to get noticed? They know the deal more than you and me.

These articles really emphasise how stupid BW actors are, and how freaking smart Sushant was.

Exactly, it's baffling how people aren't getting the point.

The dumbest thing I heard about the whole thing was KJo defending himself by putting forth the argument that Alia is Mahesh Bhatt's daughter and not his so it's not nepotism Like whaaaaat

It's about misuse of power. It's about things like Salman lobbying for Daisy Shah to be a part of InshaAllah (🤢) over people like Tripti Dimri who'd actually nail those kind of roles. It's about the absence of meritocracy, a world where talented people full of dreams are putting in so much of effort, struggling to pay for portfolios, getting rejected during auditions simply because some powerful producer may have recommended people like Ananya Panday for the role. It's about the presence of something called 'parallel cinema' which has typecast people like Konkona Sen Sharma, Vikrant Massey and Kalki Koechlin.

How I wish Sushant had stayed far away from Bollywood and carried on with Stanford.

It's not the actors' fault. They are being asked about nepotism, not bullying. Audience and media themselves have muddled this conversation by saying nepotism everywhere but they don't realize that they are really bothered most by the toxic practices of the industry. Nepotism is simply Taimur getting a film without any fair process for others (it sounds silly but this is almost equivalent to Deepika getting OSO because she has a genetic advantage). Replacing actors in films, lobbying for awards, spreading negative gossip is NOT nepotism but this unethical behaviour is where the focus needs to be. Sadly, mostly everyone keeps asking actors questions around nepotism, insider-outsider, etc.

Better question would be has anyone seen Adira’s dad?😆
