Okay now talking about my experience of meeting him.
So I had visited the sets of JDJ3 with my Mom, cousin brother and a few school friends and their mothers. My friends were so excited to meet Dr Armaan (and I didn’t know who he was because I hadn’t watched DMG then. I used to watch Tv with my grandmother and obviously had to watch shows that she would want to watch) so I had no clue why they were so excited, then when we were made to sit in the audience for some reason my cousin and I were the only ones sitting in one corner and rest were sitting somewhere else in the studio. I was in the first row right behind one of the judge’s seat and I still remember the hooting that was happening in the studio when Karan walked in Dr Armaan! Armaan. Everyone was so excited seeing him. I remember his performance as well, it was a song from the movie Partner that he was performing on. In the act at one point he had come to the judges and smiled and winked (typical Armaan wale expression) I knew it was not for me yet my heart skipped a beat. He took of his jacket and flaunted his abs but my eyes were fixed on that dimpled smile. Rest of the show I don’t remember because this was the only act that kept replaying in my mind.
When we came out of the studio my cousin and I were waiting for everyone else to come and Karan just walked out of his green room. I was rooted to my spot but as he came near I gathered the courage to go and ask for his autograph. He smiled and asked my name, he complimented me that my name was beautiful and I looked pretty too (I still blush thinking about it) my cousin was on the other hand impressed by his physique and asked Karan if his biceps were real. He laughed and nodded his head before ruffling my cousin’s hair and letting him touch his biceps to clear his doubt. I then remember his concern when he realised that we kids were standing alone (my brother was 12-13 and I was 9-10 yrs old) It was very late as well because the shoot had been delayed due to technical issues. By then most of the audience had come out of the studio and girls had gathered around him. He was smiling at everyone and gave an autograph to almost everyone. I saw him play with a toddler so happily!!
More than a decade to this, and everything is clearly etched in my mind till today. The way he was greeting everyone that day, smiling and laughing with his fans! And even those who might have not been his fans. Then listening to tales from my seniors on field and like I said, having worked with many I can say with immense pride and honestly that KSG is one of the most humble actors!
