The Best Debut category also makes no sense. It's good to encourage young talent, but it's simply used to prop up star kids.

Bruh these were highest grossing films of the year. In those times box office success was the only yardstick to gauge success of the film and audience's acceptance. Until 2007-08 best films of the year used to be among top grossers of the year. Things changed after 2010. Today these films look silly but Not giving them awards the. Would have been more stupid.
