Love both movies a lot. Watched both of them twice. I love Chhichhore for so many reasons! The message about life, the friendship, the fun, the hilarious characters like sexa, acid and mummy, the music! It was such a lovely, incredibly funny, great movie! Bollywood in opinion mainly does terrible comedies, but this was well done. Having said all of that Gully Boy was a better movie for me and Ranveer acted better in it than Sush did in Chhichhore. Sush was great but Ranveer in Gully Boy had such good material to work with. In some scenes I was like here take my heart and keep it. That movie was just written to showcase everything he had and boy did he nail every scene, every moment. As for the overall film, it was a very good movie. People constantly compare it to 8 miles. It is similar to many other rags to riches, started from the bottom now we are here stories. There is nothing special about the story. Gully Boy is a good movie because of the way it is written, because of the way it is presented.

Gully Boy had good performances (with Siddhant being the best of the lot for me, followed by Vijay Verma then Veer), but honestly, it wasn't at all extraordinary, scriptwise. It even bored me at quite a few places, ngl. I like Zoya's films and Ranveer but this one is pretty overrated. Alia winning best actress for Safeena instead of Priyanka for The Sky Is Pink or Rani in Mardaani 2 is a joke.

Chhichhore on the other hand had really natural performances and relatable, realistic stories that touch your heart. The easy camaraderie between the boys, Sushant-Shraddha's bond, the strong message (ironic now 😒), and just everything ❤️ It made me laugh, cry and I was fully into the movie.

the comedy was great too! "Loser hoga tumara baap." It just makes me a bit sad when I think about the message of the movie.

Chhichhore is an adult movie (ideally I'd say U/A but really adult due to the content).

Come-on its right there in its name!

Once this one fact is understood, it's a beautiful movie. Funny, enjoyable with a good message. Despite Shraddha Kapoor 🤔

Gully Boy excels in, after a long time, showing some focus on urban poverty. Unlike popular opinion, the poor DON'T NOT like watching themselves on screen. A few decades back the lower class had representation in celluloid. Not anymore. Indian middle class derides any portrayal of the lower strata alleging it's poverty p0rn. Somehow it's never middle class p0rn or rich p0rn.

Both are good movies. Chhichhore is more fun!

Gully boy was plain boriyat and dull.

Chhichhore is one of my favourites from last year.. have watched it so many times and so relatable as well for those who have experienced hostel life
