But wasn't it expected? I would say Dubey was a chu*&^% for ambushing the police personal. UP police are known to be specially notorious for encounters. Wasn't Dubey aware that he would be a marked man if he killed UP policemen? Still he went ahead and massacred 8 of them. Yeh toh hona hi tha.

These days people are fed up (not that I support it) of the slow moving justice system where the gangsters operate even from within the jails with impunity. Remember how the Hyderabad police were lauded by the people when they swiftly killed the rapists in an encounter? Unfortunately, this is going to be the trend if the justice system does not give up it's lethargy.

All parties are trying to give a political twist to the Dubey encounter. IMHO it is not likely to be so. It appears to be pure and simple revenge by the police. One Ex police chief on a Marathi News channel was all praise for this "encounter" (he even justified it) and he felt that by killing 8 policemen including some top ranking officers, Dubey had signed his own death warrant and it was just a matter of time before he would be eliminated.

I really don't understand what they gain by doing these things in bits and pieces. Seriously, a one week lockdown extension will control the disease? With "unlock" in progress in other areas and no strict enforcement anywhere I wonder what they expect to achieve. Almost everywhere it seems to be just knee jerk reactions.
