Frankly, I donāt think āaukaatā is polite speak anywhere, Sam and I am not sure under what contexts it is spoken casually wherever that is. Between friends perhaps? Again, aukaat is one of the most controversial words every single BB season that gets hurled by someone or the other and issues are raised as well. Thank you Uma for your pov as I did wonder how you felt about it. It does seem word aukat is quite controversial one n is perceived differently in different regions of India n thats why all different pov. just like Sid had once told bahu n Vishal about how world tu( you) is not disrespectful in Bombay but can be disrespectful in Bihar n some northern state of India depending upon the context its used in.I guess thats how this word aukat irked many as for me too aukat was not a big or arrogant word n have seen it being used very loosely in day to day life.
I do get your point about message being straight n soft as many might not get sarcasm that too on Sm in a short clip . Btw her lack of vocab wont even make her realise that these words can be misinterpreted till she sees twitter :).
Interesting but factual thought about fan power going to head Uma .Its known to happen to many in past . She is young n seeing this kind of crazy fame for first time so its a possibility but on the other hand she has faced a lot in life n all the traumas n bad times do keep you grounded but one never knows. Lets hope it doesnt happenā¤ā¤
Anyway, if this is sarcasm as I concluded earlier, I find it really hilarious since itās the very idea of aukaat subverted and turned on its head, though Iād rather she be careful with her choice of words especially since even we know Hindi challenges her.
As for fan power going to her head, I seriously hope that doesnāt happen with her. She has a certain uniqueness and substance and playfulness in her that can carry her well in the industry. She also has a partner who is so firmly grounded, itās a pain. Heh. I hope she stays well-guided and humble.
Jyotiās father passed away yesterday of cardiac arrest. May his soul find peace. I hope and pray God gives her and family the strength to handle these tough times.
