It's mere hypocrisy that some people who are heaping praises on him in this thread were the same who thought he was sleazy, overactor, annoying while he was alive. There is no need for fake sympathy for him now. I have been SSR's fan since PR and I think it's not even the best acting of his. His acting in MS Dhoni, Chichhore, Kai Po Che was natural. Here in this movie, he's trying too hard

It is a tribute. Might not be the last project he shot but definitely the LAST to release and the LAST performance we will ever witness. Also, it is made free to watch for all as a TRIBUTE. But hey, whatever floats your boat. If countering peoples "fake sympathy" about a highly disturbing death is your way of showing how real you are as his fan, run with it.

It's an official remake though. You don't have to watch it. Manny in the Indian version is a try too hard and doesn't even look like a cancer patient even though its been in remission in that movie but still and the role of his friend is annoying too, from no angle do they actually look teenagers.

Maybe they made these characters a bit older

The only thing which can save this movie is if they miraculously survive and beat cancer otherwise there’s not a lot going in the favour of this movie

This is a tribute. It won't be a film people will look at objectively because

1) The tragedy of Sushant's death will cloud everything and it will always be related to this tragedy.

2) Everyone already knows what will happen in the story. It is nothing new. Seems like the exact same story as the original.

3) It is not a high budget film that will make much profit anyways. It's not making alot of money as it is being put out to watch for free as a tribute. Might only collect revenue but that is all.

So, I don't understand this need to be critical for something that nobody will gain much from anyways. It is being put out as a tribute. Lekin nahi. Jabardasti ka analysis aur tipni karni hai. And FYI, Sushant won't gain or lose anything from this. We'll never see him perform again so let people celebrate him one last time.

totally agree with you.

Moreover not every HIT film in Bollywood is a masterpiece. On the contrary, most of the hit films in Bollywood are actually trash, but people make those films hit

I think everyone has a right to form their opinion about a movie and we should not forget this movie was probably the turning point in SSR's life and that too not in a good way and it's from where all his troubles started and no one absolutely no one from the movie supported him.
