Unfortunately, the audience non-Hindi speaking are not exposed to the good movies made in the south. They are only exposed to only big-budget masala movies.

In fact, the beauty of south Indian films lies in the simplicity of story and screenplay. It's not even close to how Bollywood movies are presented, OTT, and unrealistic scenarios and presentations.

Yes, you find that genre in South movies too but the ratio of that to simple, realistic, brilliant scripts is very less. That is where South cinema and even regional cinema excels.

Even Marathi cinema is like that so is Bengali

u must b watching some tamil n telugu movies shown on television, mostly dubbed. i am a movie buff, watch movies of all languages..korean, indonesian u name it, i have watched it. malayalam film industry is far ahead in storytelling than any..google and u wud find. bollywood, hollywood films are a waste of time.

I don't know if it's correct but in the chaalakudi family court where the divorce case of dileep and Manju warrier is filled, it's stated that dileep is the petitioner and case was filed against Manju warrier and not the other way around... With a third person angle in the case and guess what, it's not kavya, but sreekumar menon... So basically divorce was granted to dileep on grounds that Manju warrier is having another relationship... N that's why she didn't get ali- money..... N that is why the daughter supports her father n don't want to live with Manju ... I love Manju n used to like dileep till the case came up... Don't know what to believe

On the topic, yes... South nepotism is less harmful because there is no lobbying based on family, but only on stardom n money... N here talent speaks... If you don't have talent you are out... No matter who.... N yes, more than nepotism, it's superstition which governs south industry.. N I guess it's also prevalent in other industries too

That's not correct. The divorce was filed by Dileep on grounds of cruelty and the point mentioned were , she left the family for movie and didn't take care of daughter etc . Manju could have claimed up to 40 crores but she didn't claim anything as the daughter decided to live with Dileep.

Sreekumar rumour was a ploy to discourage her as he was the director of Kalyan jewellers ad and she is associated with Kalyan jewellers ad even before the agreement with her comeback movie. I am not sure whether r they had an affair after the divorce .

On the other hand if Manju filed divorce, it was easy to prove Dileep's adultery in court as the proofs were easily available.

South industry embraces nepotism more than any industry especially telugu industry which is monopolized by 5 families (Akkineni, Dagubathi, Nandmuri, Allu family, Konidela family).

Nepotism is a HUGE problem in the south! The difference is the lack of collusion in keeping talent down. Producers will embrace anyone who can make them money.

Mallywood has its problems, but the main one is not patriarchy. It's blatant misogyny.
