I wish we could help them in any way apart from donations and petitions
Last year I had met a taxi driver who was a ever so sweet and delightful person throughout the ride. He was the father of one of the martyrs' of Phulwama. His parents had expired within a gap of two weeks and he didn't have money to visit his ancestral place for last rites. He claimed the actual amount given by the govt was too minimal and he had to drive the taxi through the city collecting the remaining amount to buy a bus ticket.
My friend was a little sceptical so she asked him his details and he had been the very person he had told us. We gave him whatever little money we had which he accepted after a lot of convincing. He kept saying "Aap bachchon se kaise le sakta hoon"
The situation is terrible and the martyrs' deaths are always overlooked by the Indian media
I agree! I wish we could help them! How cruel is it that we can't help the people because of whom we are alive. My family members donate to an organisation which looks after the families of martyrs but obviously that doesn't bring back their lives!
Poor man, it must be so hard to see your child martyred! His story is heartbreaking!đ India is filled with corrupt politicians who eat that money. No party is good! And on the other hand we have humble people like him who don't accept monetary help easily even if they need it at the moment.
Indian media will still show all news from the world except this!
