Yes, fellowship is done for research..........but Ph.D. is the best for that.....so many of us we do MD Ph.D..........here............

Yeah I know a couple of people going into some MD/PhD programs...I didn't do much research in undergrad so I never really developed much interest. But, my school allows us to apply for PhD with our concurrent degree in our second year but then our graduation would be delayed because PhD is 5 years...so idk if I want that...but I definitely want to get involved in research and actually I am required to take a research class since my school is a research institution.

I'm a little interested in pursing MBA as a dual degree. I've always had an interest in business but not sure if this degree would help me in medicine...I guess maybe if I wanted to go into healthcare administration (but I don't want to 😆)...idk too early to say anything

MBA may help you in health care administration............but not much in the medical field in my understanding..........Ph.D. takes longer, many of us did as a dual program.......

Yeah that's what I've heard too...dual degree...but it's so competitive to get into those programs! There are only 7 seats per class in the MD school in my state. They require that you have a minimum of certain amount of research hours prior to applying for the program.
