Lack of murders doesn't mean people are not racist (first of all I don't think we have a proper mechanism to measure it in India, with data). Racism presents itself through many ways. Lack of empirical evidence does not mean it doesn't exist. This particular survey is very telling of the racial prejudices harboured by Indians.

And no, I will not keep my opinions to myself. You may stop reading my comment if you don't find them worthy but please don't tell me what to post and what not to.

Truth hurts. Forget about race, we as a group cannot think of our kids marrying someone even out of their 'biraadri'. Verbal attacks to North-Easters are rampant and are like daal-roti matter in Delhi or few places. Even here in NA, when people want to rent their house, they first look for someone from their 'biraadri', and all of them, I repeat, ALL OF THEM make a note that they are not going to rent it out to someone with Black skin or sometimes to East Asians irrespective of what jobs they have. A student with unstable income but from their own line is preferable than a Black or East Asian person with high paying job. Our behaviour changes wrt race, and that itself is racism. We dont have to go kill them in order to prove the point.

Of course the intensity of racism is much stronger in case of BLM movement. But that does not mean we are not clean. Yes, I donk think we as a group, 'hate' them like some anti-black people do. But Hasan Minaj's point stand valid. And yes, I know the difference between caste and race. The only race towards which we are not condescending is White.

Not sure why he said something like we want to be like them, I dont know who from us want to be like them. We dont aspire to be like those whom we don't want us to be associated with...........
