Both have their strengths and weaknesses. Madhuri is great in light, romantic films. But I'm not a fan of Madhuri's melodramatic and soapy acting. Ash when she is subtle is impeccable. She gets screechy when she does those loud roles (which fortunately she hasnt done that many). Overall, I'd rate Aishwarya as more versatile, so I pick her.

Aishwarya for me, totally. Never connected to one Madhuri Dixit performance, it is too tv soap-ish and melodramatic. I know people will say it was the era and all of that, but look what Sridevi did in EV. Now that was an ACTRESS! MD tried to replicate EV with some disastrous marathi movie and failed. Never seen her slip into a role which Ash is capable of. Ash is never given credit on how well she can embody the body language of a character (Raincoat, Provoked, Guru, Jodhaa Akbar, Guzaarish). She is very subtly impactful. I totally believe that it is because people in India are used to this TV soap acting that Ash is discredited as an actor. This isn't saying Ash nails it everytime, she has sucked in many, but her best is far better than anything of Madhuri I have seen imo.

Madhuri is better, but I voted for Aish 😉

I won’t go into details n put the other one down.I like them both but I like Madhuri more than any one.❤️
