Yes balika vadhu became a huge hit and ran for 8 years.i was huge fan of the show.also the show was a change from all the saas bahu dramas that was going on in 2000s.it was a show with social message and used to give a message at the end of every episode.post leap Anandi jagya gauri story was similar to mauli Kunal Nandini story.and shiv and ishaan were similar.like Anandi married shiv mauli married ishaan.gajra was also part of both silsila and BV.she was co writer of BV and writer of silsila.
