Well.........still that's not a difficult name either..........I may not be able to pronounce as it should be in Hindi but you may understand that.......many people can't pronounce our name ...say it TBH very weird way...but we adopted it too.........all the folks are not like that....... don't compare a whole country based on some idiots...........they're everywhere............ LOL I pronounce my name as Sh-way-ta because that's the easiest pronunciation and that's what my kindergarten teacher called me as since it's the closest pronunciation. So actually it feels odd when someone (usually Indian) says my name correctly because I'm not used to hearing it. My parents call me by a nickname so they don't use my real name anyways

I know...there are more good people than bad people. You are from a more urban area so poeple are less ignorant there. I grew up in a very small, not-so-diverse town so it was different...people didn't want to step outside their comfort zones to understand other cultures
