While sarees are nice, they are heavy and difficult to work with. Especially given these days, we’re in a generation that barely wears sarees and that too only on occasion. The everyday wearing has been left to the older generation.

Maan also encouraging Geet to blossom was great. She needed to hear those words even though it might not seem like it. His supporting words and encouragement will bring out the best of her. ☺️

The bonding over cooking between mother in law and daughter in law was nice. I feel for Preeti. She was tasked with sorting the ingredients out, but I am confused. If they’re in their own boxes, they’re supposed to be already labelled? 😂 unless he forgot how to read. I didn’t understand the last scene though 😐😂 Why was the messed up incident something not to talk about again? It’s a funny story isn’t it? 😂

The ingredients were not labeled... I have seen many kitchen where people do not label the boxes they just get use to their placement.

In last, ram has actual indicated that savitri was not a good cook in the early marriage days.

CHAPTER 32

Geet - mumma aaj kya banaye...

Savitri- dekhle beta...Jo bhi tujhe acha lge...

Geet - chocolate cake bnate hai chocolate biscuits se...

Savitri - theek hai or mujhe bta main kya kro...

Geet - OK pehle main biscuits check kerlu...

Savitri - ye orea biscuits zaroor hoge...preet ko pasand hai Na...

Geet checked the small cabinet for biscuits and found the chocolate Oreo biscuits... She took all the three packets and give to Savitri for grinding.

Both mother-daughter become busy to prepare for the cake. They take about random things... Geet told about her plans for a shopping trip with maan. Savitri encouraged her and told her to buy some vibrant cotton kurtas as she has seen some young girls wearing them.

In 30mins, they had the cake all ready. They had the slice each and put the rest of in freezer for the other family member. Rest of the day they spend in opening the gifts they received on preet roka. They help each other in arranging some of the decorative pieces in the house and put others away in Savitri cupboard to gift it away when the occasion arrives.

Preet came home early as she had fewer classes that day and also some project to complete. After changing, she took some juice and popcorns to her room and told the two ladies to not to disturb as she would be busy. Savitri didn't like her tone but she ignored it.

Later in the evening maan and ram arrived from their respective works. Maan told about the shopping trip to his father and ram suggested him to take her for dinner as well. Geet, as a new bride must have a lot of expectations, and spending time outside the home is one of them. Maan was happy with his father's encouragement.

Preet - Mumma what is this, where are my orea biscuits...

She shouted looking in the cupboard. 'yahi kahi hoge' said Savitri without paying much attention as her attention was focused on the heated scene between saas-bahu in the serial she was watching.

Preet - mamma yhaa teen packets thee...

Savitri - woh geet se poch oshee ne nikale thee... ( She said it keeping her eyes glued to a television screen). Preet looked up at geet, who was coming downstairs. Without thinking she whispers out loud "bhabai apne sare packet kaleye". (bhabhi you finished them all). Maan, who was following behind geet got angry at once and shouted " preet what is this nonsense... Is this a way to talk to your bhabhi".

Preet- bhai wo oreo...

Maan shouted - shut up Preet...

Maan - dad we are getting this girl married...Can you believe it?

He said looking at his dad. Flaring the angry. Ram tried to control the situation and told preet to say sorry. His heart went out for the girl looking at tears flowing out of her eyes.

She whispered sorry, rubbing the back of the hand on her cheek to remove the tear. She was hurt. Geet nodded softly not knowing how to the response. Savitri too silently took her girl in her arms to calm her down.

It was the first time after their marriage that something like happened. Geet felt maan overreaction. She did not know what to do and how to react. Maan pulled geet, who was lost in her thoughts to their room. Preet looked at the retiring figure of her brother and bhabhi this made her feel ignored.

Maan opened their room door and told geet to dress up for a shopping trip. She wanted to cancel it but looking at his angry self, she felt as if the courage left her body. She followed his order and took her clothes to change in the bathroom while he changed in the room after locking up the door.

After calming herself, Preet went to her to fresh up. She was already very disturbed with the behaviour of her beau. She has been trying to give her all attention to him but his demands were increasing day by day. They have known each other for quite a while but she could not get up the courage to be more intimate with him. They had shared occasion kisses and that was it for her. Her upbringing holds her back whenever he trying to be more close to her. As now their family approved their relationship, he wanted her to meet him after her free classes during college hours. She had promised him earlier but then suddenly instead of going out to meet him, she directly came home. All the while he had been waiting for her near canteen corner. He got angry when she disclosed that she went home and make some excuse of an emergency. He understood her lie and blamed her for ruining his day as he had taken the half-day leave to be with her and here she left him all alone under the scorching sun.

She had been trying to please him with her words from the afternoon but nothing seems to work. All frustration came at the wrong time.

Maan and geet came already to go. Maan informed his mother not to make dinner for them as will have it outside. He was about to move forward when his mother stopped him and informed him to take Preet along with them thinking this will cheer up her mood. Maan though not very pleased but nodded his head in approval. Preet came downstairs after composing herself. Savitri ordered her to get ready to go with maaneet. Preet tried to protest but her mother did not listen to her at last without an option she got up dress up.

Geet could feel the tension between brother-sister but did not make any comment on it. The journey from home to the mall went on all in silent. In the mall, everything became normal as if the shopping fairy had sparkled her magic powers on these two girls. They together did most of the shopping. Preet leaving everything behind went on buy dresses along with geet. Maan although did not approve this act of his sister, did not make any comment at the time. After shopping, they headed for the dining area in the mall.

Preet felt like a third tire between them, trying to make her space. They were chit chatting holding hand without any care of the world and there she was following them behind

Maan's overreaction is only creating bitterness between their n preet relationship.... he has shouted unnecessarily... both the girls are friends and can sort their matter themselves... Maan just complicated things for no reason.
