@Fary: haha your love for Suno Chanda is cute 😆...whenever you write SC, I think of Surbhi first 😆

Never watched the show coz mujhe main leads hi blah lage but chalo good you are enjoying the re-run for something feel good to watch in this time :)

Ab shows toh pata nahin kab shoot resume karenge koi bhi. Shouldn’t expect new seasons of anything anytime soon. SP is also cancelling some shows randomly I read. Any new show being made will be a small budget one now I think. Grand sets bhi shaayad ab na ho.

I think this is a valid assessment from Shruti. This is the same feeling I'm getting too....they will have to tighten up their scripts and make the process more efficient to drive down costs. This doesn't leave room for the ad-hoc way of doing things like they usually do ki kabhi bhi script change kar do, koi bhi schedule change kar do.

They will have to learn to work in fixed budgets, likely lower budgets for production - matlab no grand sets and costumes, and smaller crews.....I do see somewhat of a return of 90s era simpler sets and costumes....maybe I'm being wishful....lol but I wish for simpler times....content mattered then cuz they didn't have so much free cash to waste.

Shruti Seth: There would be huge layoffs with sets trimming down to meet safety guidelines post lockdown

A leading entertainment portal got into a candid conversation with Shruti Seth. She spoke at length about the show going off-air and the future of the TV industry.

It has been already reported that the Star Plus show, Dil Jaise Dhadke Dhadakne Do has been pulled down by the channel. Supernatural thriller Nazar 2 is also going off-air and both the shows won’t air post lockdown.

A leading entertainment portal got into a candid conversation with Shruti Seth from the show. She spoke at length about the show going off-air and the future of the TV industry.

Speaking about the same, Shruti said, “Right now, we have more important issues to grapple with Coronavirus cases in India topping 60k, and the data is unclear. I don’t want to cry about my situation, for sooner or later work will happen, spare a thought for the poor migrant labourer on the road. Yet I do feel bad for we never could around to tell the real story which would have began post leap. This decision to shut down seem to have come of late for just till ten days back the team was discussing new scripts, "says Shruti who has been around for many years (first call to fame Shararat).

Could the lower ratings have played a part in the final call? “I don’t know but from what I gather is that the channel was unsure of how much the audience will come back given this big break and our lower numbers could not have helped matters. Having said that not only our show several other series across channels had met a similar fate, and more culling could follow.”

Here Shruti adds that the TV industry faces an immediate grim future, “There would be huge layoffs with sets trimming down to meet safety guidelines. Actors and technicians would need to double up on skills to stay in the race. Based on my discussions with industry veterans, I don’t see shoots starting before mid-July which too would depend on graph dipping. One possible solution would be taking the entire cast and crew after testing to a single location and locking them up. In such a scenario, the limited series is the only out for how long would the actor be ready to stay away from home? Tight scripts will need to be ready before going on the floor as one once shoot starts no one might be allowed to leave or enter.”

Oh I just read this.....so June end is a suggested date for resuming shoots if they can get the process in place....hmmm this is a lot more responsibility on producers then to ensure guidelines are met.

With unit sizes being cut down, the shift system will have to be well managed to make things work.

The shoots of all the Television shows, web shows and movies have been halted for nearly two months now owing to the pandemic outbreak in the country. The audience has been watching reruns of old shows amid lockdown.

Well, we have good news for the Television viewers now! Reportedly, the makers of TV shows will be able to resume the shooting of the shows by the end of June. However, they'll have to follow the guidelines set by FWICE.

In an exclusive chat with a leading newspaper, BN Tiwari, president of the Federation of Western India Cine Employee (FWICE), revealed that they put some conditions for producers keeping the daily wagers in mind.

Here are the conditions TV producers need to agree to in order to resume shoot:

1. FWICE has started training everyone on how to wear a mask and use sanitiser. Every set will have an inspector, who will inspect who is wearing a mask and who is not. Until the workers get used to it, the inspector will continue to be there.

2. If a worker dies of the novel coronavirus, the channel and producer will have to pay a compensation of Rs 50 lakh to the worker's family and also should take care of their medical expenses. For accidental deaths, producers have given Rs 40-42 lakh but FWICE has kept the minimum compensation amount to Rs 50 lakh. This will boost the confidence of the workers, who will be assured that if something happens to them the producers will take care of their family, and will look forward to coming to work.

3. During a shoot, there are at least 100 or above people on the sets. But, according to the circumstances, makers will have to manage with 50 per cent of the unit. Producers will also have to confirm that the remaining 50 per cent is working in shifts so that no one goes jobless. People above 50 years of age have been asked to stay at home for the next three months, as they are more prone to COVID-19 than the others.

4.An ambulance should always be there on the sets in case of an emergency.

FWICE will be conducting a virtual meeting with the producers and channel heads regarding the news headlines soon.

😆 Yes there's a whole workout session in there must be very hip for the time when women working out wasn't something that was so regular and routine that too in full workout gear with her yoga pants and tank 😆

I recently discovered this film randomly when a bollywood history account tweeted about some anniversary saw shashi in poster and got curious and then found a whole bunch of films I've never even heard off . It's called abhinetri I guess that's why such strong Hepburn inspiration in the song too But what a sweet sweet film pretty darn modern for the times it was set in and hema looked like freaking unreal in every frame . Even in that poor quality I was crushing so hard on both hema and shashi like this is peak beauty for them and then it was actually a romantic film which was quite unusual for the times too so I was surprised but it made me realize why hema was titled DREAM Girl 😆 yeah am so behind on her filmography I think I only know sholay and seeta aur geeta 😆 on top of my head and few songs. Gosh the setting in these films is making me miss the architecture the whole cool vibe of retro so much I wish I was born in those times tbh

Oh will reply to the rest in a bit right now am going to nap hehe

I did couple of gifs here but it's coming out so bad so an thinking of just posting screencaps caz I want to post every frame as it's so pretty

😆 It's ok yaar you don't have to watch it. Leads main toh mujhe bhinkoi intrest nahi thi when it came and all the hyping from the "then IB stans I have issues with " put me more off it like I was ughhhhh hatao isko zone then I saw an episode or scenes accidently and watched the show with fam on my own and muted the tags on social media and ended up enjoying and I still prefer enjoying on my own then mingling with any of the "so called fandom" all that they are similar to shivika put me off more caz they are NOT AT ALL. Just caz once jiya called him pahadi bakra doesn't make them shivika or that they used to fight in the first 10 episodes a lot almost OTT way main when they were trying to break their nikkah lol. Ariya have their own things and yeah just caz honey fight doesn't make them shivika poori kahani hi alag hai . What I like and think is the reason for the success of it is caz Pakistan rarely makes light shows . There is a serious drought of anything that's somewhat funny har waqt rote dhote hi raho or pravachan though lulz ke liye bhi hardly kuch milta hai . I mean even its bloody good content it is so serious and a lot of rona dhona. This is a sitcom in the troll zone matlab everything has to be exaggerated jaise jiya ki maa ka Rona and shaklein banana when she goes missing for a few hours 🤣

About show cancellations I toh don't even know jo reh jaayenge woh kahan se chalayenge ge aage with the same crazy storylines and timelines . Yehi toh problem hai dailies ki baaki sab haalat ke saath chalna padta hai. Like for e.g ab YHC main holi se start kia toh bohat ajeeb ho jaayega 😆

she's right! it feels Good when you come across the very few brainy stars who see the broader picture and aren't just concerned about themselves and self absorbed 24x7. she understands the point behind the decision and i especially liked her answer about what's to cry in it when we have bigger problems and actual human kind at risk.

the ideas are good on paper caz as she said idk how many will be willing to leave their cities and familikes behind for and indefinite period so timelines will actually play keyrole and Makers bhi itni badi units ko utha ke kahin nahi band kar sakte ya li ja sakte until they have A solid ENOUGH storylines, scripts and tracks planned way ahead that then they will have to stick too regardless of how they are performing caz they can't afford the daily maintainance apart from the wages just like that caz this will leave them with the zimmedari of where the crews will stay, their health, khana peena etc on top of the productions so many will just back off like that hi gul jaise who can't kepp up with the cost of CGI's for their thakele jin daayans and their ghatiya storylines and below average actors unless well they are gul and ego pe phans jaayein i mean she can go either way dimaag toh unmeon waise hi kam hai ab aur kya bolon main. so in that case it is good and bad . good iss liye ke ab sabko actual kaam karna padega sirf aa gaye 2 shot diye for some faltu sa scene nahi chalega and bad bhi isi liye ke ab sabko kaam karna padega free main kuch nahi aayega everybody will have to fight for their spot and postion beech main bohat hi nithale ho gaye thay sabkesab ke free ka paisa toh aa raha hai roz ka. . will be very intresting to see where we will go.

exactly that is also just suggested koi pakka nahi hai uppar se zimmedari bohat zyada hai on producers as they will be HELD responsible for any mishaps isme kotahi nahi kar sakte. this isn't an accidental mishap that they can face and getaway from with minimum responsibility or compensation. this is knowingly throwing everyone in a dangerous situation so GOD FORBID if anything happens a lot is at stake professionally and personally. not only just the compensations and risk factor yahan toh guilt bhi hoga(that is if anyoen has zameer left and can look beyond the paisa) idk for me toh it will be there.

and Not only just Producers generally anyone who's going to open any kind of business has an increased responsibility and sirf owners hi nahi as co workers as service providers towards the fellow peers fellow humans of any sort. sirf apne aap ko hi bachana nahi hai baaki unknown logon ko bhi bachana hai In case you caught it somewhere. idk how someone can live with knowing that they gave it to someone and they survived but the other person didn't. that reminds me of the hatecrimes and that Extremely unfortunate case of the ticket lady somewhere in states on whom an idiot coughed on purpose caz she was black and it was apparently jsut fun for him a casual oh am just joking but she died. Such People should be hanged. i mean how could you even as a joke seedha seedha murder charge karke taang do aise logon ko. i was so upset when i read that.this si the time to show compassion but sadly uski hi kami hai
