Who is saying women can't be sexist too?? A lot of women have sexist and backwards mindsets, and men with progressive attitudes as well...
It's just that patriarchy and sexism gives men extra benefits compared to a more equal society, and obviously when a system unfairy benefits a group that group will usually fight harder to keep that system...
As for Khajarao, that was built thousands of years ago... Indian culture has changed a lot from then! And if talking about sex ISN'T against desi culture (as you suggested by referring to Khajarao), then why do you think it's wrong??

Desi men Desi men ...then why is desi aaurat jo kal ki aaurat aaj ki kisi ki maa hai missing from comments

SO as per these days logic ..hum wo sab karengey jise hum galat maante hai mardo ke liye ..aur aisa karke hum equality proves karengey 👍🏼

Are you saying drinking/swearing/talking about sex is the same as circulating morphed pics and joking about RAPE??
In what world....😕
Also the arguments (both when the film released and right now on this forum) about children seeing VDW and getting influenced don't make any sense... VDW was 18 rated!
The comparisons with Kabir Singh are also senseless... when were the girls in VDW shown beating or raping their partners??
as if that will stop kids from watching it when they have easy access to smart phones and pc's and torrents
and no, drinking swearing is NOT equal to Rape...(talk about going on a rampant off-track)..... but both are wrong in their own individual ways.....one is harming the society and the other is harming the health......... so both needs to stop............ you cannot justify drinking, swearing and sex-talk by saying, 'oh, but men are worst, they rape and all, so we also need to be one up and atleast do drugs and alcohol' ............guess what, that's not gonna solve the REAL problem the weaker women face in this society.........

education rate pata hai girls and men? yeh increase hue isse bhi desi men ne increase kiya hai jo desi men aaj baap hai
desi baap always happy to have girl child but yeh Desi maa hai na isko chhihiye hota desi men because ak aur desi maa jo uski saas unko taane degi ....
aur yeh Girl ration increase per boy yeh kasie hua 🤔
job ratio of women increased ---yeh bhi desi men jo aaj baap hai uski wajah se hai
most girls aaj ghar se bahar job kar rahi hai kaise hua yeh sab 🤔
First time in history women motorcycle team performed on republic team but aaj kal girls sex ki main aware ho gai isliye desi men pareshaan ...yeh hai tum logo ka gyan ...jo tumhare dimaag main nahi ghutne main hai ..isliye sex se upar nahi soch pate 🤢
Idk why you have such a problem with women smoking/drinking/talking about sex!!
And it's not that we can't think beyond sex... that's just what this particular discussion was about so that's why I spoke about it...
Honestly I really don't understand the point of bringing high achieving women into these discussions either (it's not just you but many people start mentioning women achievers whenever discussion of hypocrisy around sex, drinking, etc. comes up)… Like when a normal young guy drinks or makes a sexual comment about a girl no one says "why can't he be like Mahatma Gandhi/Neil Armstrong/some other great achieving man instead of doing these things"🤣
In fact even the thought of someone saying things like the above is ridiculous to us...and that's exactly what sexism is!!
People always want to over analyse even harmless actions of women and put them in moral categories based on every little thing they do...
It's not even just traditional minded people who are guilty of it sadly... some "feminists" go to the other end and constantly judge and look down on women who choose to be homemakers, dress femininely, etc... I know some "feminist" parents who forced their daughters not to play with girly toys, banned makeup, dresses, etc. while their sons were allowed to do whatever they liked!
Basically I know I went off topic a bit but my point is that it's totally sexist to moralise every little thing a girl/woman does, when you wouldn't bat an eyelid at a boy/man doing the same thing... whatever the thing in question may be...
as if that will stop kids from watching it when they have easy access to smart phones and pc's and torrents

At the end of the day. The easiest thing to do is turn off ya tv 😆

I dnt have a problem with women smoking/drinking/talking about sex! I have a problem when some chaman thought these are women empowerment and path breaking ...

Good 👏 Bolna chhaiye kisne roka hai zaroora bolna chahiye ..Magar tab to log bsy hai equality main ..bole to daru peeke equality, smoking karke equality main

Koan karta hai yeh sab ...wo bhi women hi karti hai aadmi se jayda ... high class main kitty parties main aur mohalle main gharo ke aage khade hoke

true ..but it's changing slowly that's why nowadays we are seeing many girls working in Pune Bangalore delhi etc...
Basically I know I went off topic a bit but my point is that it's totally sexist to moralise every little thing a girl/woman does, when you wouldn't bat an eyelid at a boy/man doing the same thing... whatever the thing in question may be...
its not like that, these days 😉...girl choice is my choice and men choice is 😆..and these kinds of the female are more damaged the feminism than other females.... equability bolted bolted khud baised ho gai 😆
Well to put it bluntly I only said desi men because the majority of people bashing VDW (both now on this forum and in general) ARE desi men...
But of course there are women who have sexist attitudes too, and try to use the patriarchy for their own benefit... I don't think that only men are bad and all women are good, that would be ridiculous...
And just to clarify I don't think there is anything wrong with adult men drinking (as long as they do it in moderation and aren't addicted)...ditto talking about sex, nothing wrong with men talking about sex unless they harass women for fun or start acting like rape is a normal part of sex!
And yes I agree that there is an age for everything... but does that mean we completely stop releasing any films showing drinking?? As the issue of age rating has been discussed already that seems like the only solution to stop children ever seeing people drinking😕

What is the definition of Desi men as per you?
as if that will stop kids from watching it when they have easy access to smart phones and pc's and torrents

I actually wasn't going off track then though... people in this thread were comparing the actions of the women in VDW with Kabir Singh... and the whole thread itself was started by comparing them with that "boyslockerroom" group where everyone knows they talked about rape...
And I get your point that drinking is bad for health but how are swearing and sex talk so bad?? There is nothing wrong with either of those in an appropriate setting imo...
I agree that women smoking and drinking won't help victims of rape, domestic violence, trafficking etc... but women's cause is not helped by creating a controversy around a film just because a few thirty-something women are shown drinking, smoking and talking about sex...
