Yes Madi, highly tragic and no one knows the cause but callous of the company to be careless. Lot more are lying dead on the streets and many hundreds are being hospitalized with sore eyes, rashes and breathing problems. They should have immediately evacuated people. Gas leak is disastrous.😒. Our country is truly going through an unfortunate phase, prayers to the sick to recover!

Praying for those who are affected until now. They are reporting now that more than 5000 people affected and suffering. Still many people are lying inside their houses. 😭

Hello Rainbow Friends😊

Today is an unfortunate incident happened in Visakhapatnam in the wee hours i.e 3.30 AM. A gas chamber leaked in LG factory, where in poisonous gas emitted and spread within 3 km radius. Fortunately non of my relatives who are staying there are in danger. They stay far away. I have lot of paternal as well as maternal relative there. Since morning I called all of them and enquired about their well being and relived after knowing about them. But my heart goes out for those who passed away while asleep and while on roads. How insensitive the management is who thought of reopening the factor without thoroughly checking. Now blame game starts, but the lives had already been lost.

Visakhapatnam is a beautiful city, One year of my toddler life was spent there near sea shore. My father initial posting was in Waltair Uplands and the quarters were near Sea shore, my mother told me. After that my father transferred to Durg, CG and my Maternal and Paternal Grandparents stay there.

Today no mood of posting any song, but then life have to go on, will post tomorrow.

Really tragic, Padma, what happened at Visakhapatnam yesterday, guess they were reopening the factory and due to lockdown some valve was dysfunctional. In such factories, they should keep emergency stafff for maintaining such units, the visuals on tv were disturbing, cops breaking into homes to search for unconscious or dead persons, people suddenly collapsing and falling on the roads.😲. Glad your relatives are all safe. Why are we suffering so much, was COVID not enough, this year is really bad! Reminded me of the Chernobyl disaster and closer home of the Bhopal Gas tragedy though this is not that severe in magnitude.

There is no end for human suffering, miseries are the everyday scene for us now.😲

Agree with you Padma and Vibha, praying for the safety of our friends and families along with the entire mankind is the only thing we can do now. Except waiting to pass these difficult times, we can't do anything, how helpless man is in such a situation.
