Arnav has issued an open challenge in front of ammaji. She is partially right, but has she ever tried to change things? She has not. Just look at how she treats Khushi in her own house. She can change that if she wants. Thats the first place she can do so.

Regardless of whether Amma ji bought Arnav's story of referring to someone other than Khushi, I suspect there will be repercussions for Khushi. Amma ji may say she does not encourage the regressive norms which are being practiced, but her actions belie her words.

Those slippers he bought for her... has anyone ever put so much thought and care in something for her... ever...

Amazing Update

Loved for the first time Arnav voicing out how he is against the people of Ratnagiri treating the victims of child marriages. As Arnav said if Ammaji wanted she could have bought the changes in the people using her power she holds on them but having the same mentality and knowing how people will sure oppose her she never tried to do that though she said even she is against it. It is just her mouth speaking she never meant it truly. Though Arnav said it was not Khushi who said to Arnav about the child marriage, hope Ammaji never takes out her anger on her. Loved Arnav's care towards Khushi by making sure she is being treated and it was so nice of Arnav to get her slippers and knowing how she will immediately refuse him, Arnav took Lavanya's help and came with an idea making sure there will not be any loophole for Khushi to refuse them.

Loved the update. Arnav is trying to bring some changes to ratnagiri regarding the thinking and culture they follow and started with Ammaji. Arnav is caring and brought slippers also. Who is lavanya talking with? Waiting for the next update.

Wow. kudos Arnav for putting forth his resentment regarding how Ammaji has been supportive of unjust orthodox traditions of the village, while she wants to develop the village progressively in terms of amenities and medical facilities.

May be this Pune trip will bring some favorable changes in the dynamics between Arnav and Khushi.

After hearing from lavanya about kushi being a child widow Arnav was really frustrated that such out dated social evils still exist in Ratnagiri. He did not keep quiet he bluntly told his mother that even though she is very popular in the village and always ready to work for the upliftment of the villagers how come she is encouraging for such practices to exist in Ratnagiri.

Ammaji being a strong woman could not take such criticism from her son she told him she is aware such customs still exists and asked him to ignore them and he is a doctor who has come to treat people and not to interfere in such matters. This matter seems far from over in the coming days we may witness several such confrontations between mother and son.

Loved the way how Arnav is concerned about kushi’s health and he is seeing that she gets proper care through lavanya.

As soon as Arnav brought the topic of mistreatment of child widow Ammaji started accusing Khushi of feeding crap to Arnav . Does that mean Khushi has / had an argument with Ammaji ? Khushi doesn't speak to Ammaji , she is very subdued and accepts orders as any servant does . Is this what Garima is telling about Khushi to others .

Arnav is against all this useless traditions . He is willing to help Khushi . Lavanya is a nice girl who looks out for Khushi's well being .

Hope Arnav is able to make difference and bring better changes in Khushi's life .

I am glad Arnav did not hesitate to broach the subject with Ammaji. She said this is a male dominated place. But she is the village head. She can make a difference can't she? I think she herself never think in those lines. Hopefully she will do something, otherwise, she won't win any brownie points from us. Khushi is still sick. Arnav tricked her and gave her an injection and got her to take some medicines too! He proved that he is compassionate doctor. Lavanya is helping him in taking care of Khushi. Lovely update.
