Slowly and steadily Geet is coming towards normalcy

First time ever she looked at her husband

Remembering her baby but not turning away from him

We like the way you have reignited the love between the two

Here what's the problem with Amelia

We assume she might be suffering from some deadly disease.

Reveal the mystery soon.

Episodes 121 and 122

Seems maan is able to break the wall bit by bit...hopefully Geet will come out of this pain soon. Losing child kills a person within. It takes lot of patience and support from family. I still dont understand why they left their family during these hard times.

On the other side, so much is happening with Amelia and Meera. Feel bad for Dadima...she was supportive and wise person for the next generation. Now she feels alone with all her kids scattered. Also, hard on meera and vikrant....they cannot even express their life's best part not share the news yet.

Now that Meera found out about Amelia, hope Karan will come to know soon. In a way, Amelia is doing what maaneet did. Hiding away from near ones when in pain.

All these episodes are very well written and emotionally tying us to the characters.

Chapter 123

Maan had gone out to get some lunch for both himself and Geet whilst Geet stayed behind tidying up her things away. Once she'd finished, she pulled out her phone and called dadima via facetime.

Geet spent the next hour speaking to dadima, she discussed Maan revealing his past about his mother then asked dadima for suggestions after she'd told dadima about some of the challenges she and Maan had been facing.

"I think Maan's back" Geet glanced over her shoulder and offered a smile as he walked through the door holding a takeaway bag. He walked over to where Geet sat and smiled at dadima.

"Hi dadima"

"Kaise ho bete?" she grinned.

"We're okay, how are you?" he walked around placing the takeaway bag onto the coffee table and settled comfortably on the sofa.

"Hum sab teek hai, we're all missing you both" she responded. "How is the business?"

"It's doing okay, the staff aren’t as efficient as they are in Delhi"

"Well the staff were under a different manager whilst you've been handling the Delhi office" dadima reminded.

Maan agreed, "How is Vikrant?" he questioned.

"He's doing well, he's got some other offers. His show is coming to an end soon" she informed. "He's married her twice already" dadima laughed.

"Typical dramas" Maan rolled his eyes whilst Geet giggled.

"Dadima, I forgot to ask how is Meera? I've not spoken to her for a while" Geet asked.

"She's okay as well, why don’t you call her and Amelia? They're both missing you" dadima suggested, she didn’t tell Geet about the dinner incident as that isn't something Geet would want to hear. And maybe if Geet talked to Amelia, Amelia may tell her what is going on between Karan and herself.

"I'll call them in a bit" Geet agreed.

They talked for a little while longer then finally said goodbye, Maan and Geet then dug into their lunch.

~~~~~~~
"You're going to have to tell Karan" Meera looked at Amelia.
"No" Amelia shook her head, "Don’t mention it to him".
"He thinks you've cheated Amelia" Meera gaped at her friend.
"I'm not telling him" Amelia stood angrily. "And none of you are going to tell him" she looked between Meera and Vikrant. "I mean it, Vikrant" she narrowed her eyes.
"He's got a right to know Ames" Vikrant stated.
"No he doesn’t" she shook her head.
"He does dammit" Vikrant countered, "You chased him, you wanted him and he finally started to… he started to let you in. He started to fall in love again. He gave it another shot but you're lying… He deserves to know the truth"
"No, no" Amelia cried. "Don’t you dare! I don’t want him to know. You can't tell him" she scowled.
"Amelia…" Meera approached her gently, "Tell him… He loves you"
"How… How do you expect me to tell him? How do I tell him that I have breast cancer?" she sobbed. "How do I tell him Meers?"
~~~~~~~

"What do you want to do?"

"I was thinking we could go out to Piccadilly Gardens, maybe Arndale as well" Geet suggested. "We've not been really out and looked around the centre" she added.

Maan agreed with her suggestion and they both got ready to go out.

Geet slipped into her jeans and a plaid shirt, as it was growing colder she slipped into her black trench coat and boots. Maan had slipped on his pea coat and boots as he was already dressed from going out before.

"We also need to look at buying ourselves cars" Maan spoke as they walked towards the bus stop. "Public transportation is fine as it's near the city centre but if we needed to go somewhere…" he trailed. "You've passed your driving test as well"

"Won't we need a British driving license?" Geet questioned.

"Not for 12 months, our indian driving license is valid for 12 months. After 12 months, we have to take their theory and practical test" he answered. When he noticed Geet frowning in confusion, he added further "I don’t my research".

Geet smiled and followed him towards the bus stop, their hands entwined together as they stood waiting for the bus to arrive.

~~~~~~~~
"I can't tell him" Amelia whispered. "I won't be the girl he had fallen in love with, I'm going to be sick. I'm… going to change. My appearance will change" she murmured.
"I won't even be the girl I once was" she added.
"You're always going to be our crazy Amelia" Meera cradled her cheek. "Always".
"Ames" Vikrant touched her shoulder, she glanced over and threw her arm around him.
"I can't do it" she mumbled shaking her head.
"We're here for you babe, me, Meera, Puja… every one of you is here for you. Once Karan knows, he's going to be beside you. He wouldn’t leave you" Vikrant explained tightening his arms around her. "We're family"
Amelia shuddered in his arms and cried clutching onto him.
~~~~~~~~

"When is the counselling session?" Geet asked once they settled near the back inside the bus.

"The therapist only had an availability next week" Maan answered.

"She hasn’t charged you yet nor taken any deposit?" she quizzed further.

"No, why?" Maan turned his head to her questioningly.

"I'm happy that you said you're willing to go to a counsellor but we're going to be okay" she responded. "You can cancel the session" she told him.

"Are you sure?" Maan stared curiously.

She nodded in agreement, "I spoke to dadima this morning, we hadn’t talked and we let this space come between us" she murmured. "You're with me, I know we're going to be fine"

Maan squeezed her hand reassuringly, he pressed a kiss to her temple and she rested her head on his shoulder as they took in the sights of the city as the bus drove around picking up various members of the public from each bus stop.

Geet and Maan stepped down the bus and went exploring, they visited various shops. Geet had perked up as she noticed Paperchase, and dragged Maan into the shop.

She hadn’t just explored the bottom floor, she went and checked out the other two floors. She picked out various pens and diaries and notebooks for herself which amused Maan. He knew her love for books but the love for stationery was something he learned just now.

It seemed to him, he wasn’t paying enough attention to his wife.

"Do you like this?" Geet asked as she held out a beautifully designed notebook which had post it notes in various different colours, on the left side there was a page which was for 'to do' list.

"It's a notebook" Maan replied.

"You're boring" Geet shook her head. "Ooh those pens look nice" she walked over to the area where there was various pens. The prices started from £2.99 and went to £15.99 and that too for one pen. It was expensive but it was beautiful pens. Geet picked out 6 different colours and placed it inside the small basket.

As she walked over to the counter, and Maan paid he thought of something to surprise his wife with and he hoped she loved it once he had done it. They walked out and went to various other shops, Geet had dragged Maan to the other stationery shops she had seen. She had even popped into Waterstone and WHSmith and picked out a few books she would love to read.

As the evening came, Maan led Geet into Barburrito for some food, it was a Mexican eatery that makes some of the best burritos in Manchester, it was freshly made, and very tasty. Geet ordered a side of nachos with her burrito and their drinks were brought out whilst they waited for their burritos.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Geet called today" Dadima informed looking between Meera and Vikrant as they sat down for dinner. "She wanted to speak to you both, did she call you?"
"I'd seen a missed call a while ago but I'm assuming they're going to be asleep now" Vikrant answered. "I hadn’t called bhabhi back yet"
"Are you both okay? You've not been home and now you're looking distressed" dadima questioned looking between them. "Is something the matter?" she asked.
"Nothing… We're just tired, we've been out all day so…" Vikrant trailed off.
"I'm not hungry, I'm going to bed" Meera couldn’t bring herself to eat anything.
"Bete, just eat a little something" dadima suggested.
"Nahi dadima… I'm really not hungry" she shook her head. "Good night" she excused herself quickly. Vikrant looked at Meera concerned, she couldn’t be skipping dinner now as well. She hadn’t eaten since yesterday's dinner. It hadn’t escaped his notice and before he had let it go, but now he was getting concerned.
"Bete, what's wrong?" dadima looked at him for answers.
"Nothing, she's just probably tired" he replied.
"Hmm" Dadima nodded thought not believing him completely.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"You're going to let me help out right?" Geet looked at Taz for a reply as she worked to serve her customers.

"I'm not sure" Taz responded. "What would you like?" she asked the customer and took down his order, he paid and went to sit down at the table and wait for his dessert.

"But you're supposed to be my friend" Geet pointed out.

"And… Look this place is my baby and you're kind of a disaster" Taz replied.

"I agree with Taz right there" Sanjana piped in and glanced over at her students. "Sit there on the corner, I'm bringing over your ice creams" she told them then turned looking between Geet and Taz. "You broke 3 cups in yesterday's cooking session" Sanjana informed.

"You told her?" Geet narrowed her eyes at Taz.

"What? You did do that"

"That's because that blue haired lady made me nervous, she was going to taste our dishes. Chef Richards brought her in to make us nervous" Geet responded in her defence.

"She was another chef, you're not nervous with Chef Richards or me…" Taz replied.

"That's because you're kinda goofy and Chef Richards is nice"

Taz arched her brows, "You're definitely not working here" she stated.

"Look I just want some spend some time here and gain experience, I'm still doing my business course and I have some free hours in the afternoon. Maan is at work during the weekdays as well so I'm going to be bored at home" Geet whined.

"Taz, shut her up" Sanjana glowered. "She's scaring my poor students and she looks like someone homeless and we look like villains turning her away"

"You're so mean" Geet frowned.

"I know sweetie" Sanjana grinned and walked towards her students with a tray which had bowls of ice cream. "Eat up and wait for your parents to pick you up. I'm watching from over there" she informed and returned to the counter.

"Fine, but you're only cleaning tables and taking orders first" Taz responded. "Once you have gotten some experience, I'll let you serve them and help me make some of the desserts".

Geet grinned pleased with that and agreed. Taz left Sanjana to watch the counter, took Geet aside and discussed the hours Geet would be doing for her.

Geet unlocked her apartment door feeling pleased with a new part time job, the job wasn’t going to disrupt her routine and she looked forward to spending afternoons at the café.

She couldn’t wait to tell Maan, she pushed open the door and yelped.

"Dadima…" she rushed over seeing dadima stood in the middle of their living room. Geet threw her arms around her and cried. The distance between them evaporated, Geet's body shook as she cried tightening her hold on the woman who'd become more of a mother to her. Dadima enveloped her tightly, she was holding her daughter, no words came to her lips to express how much she had missed Geet. She wanted to hold onto her and not let go, she didn’t think it was possible to still miss Geet so much despite holding her. She couldn’t bring herself to pull away from Geet, she wanted to envelope her daughter in her arms and hide her away. She wanted to shield her from the hurt and pain that this world had given her. Dadima glanced over at Maan and shared a watery smile with him.

Maan watched from the kitchen area and grinned widely seeing them both reunite after a long couple of months. Maan had discussed with dadima a couple of days ago about her coming over, dadima had only been too pleased to oblige with his request. She had arrived early this morning, Maan had told Geet he was going to work and knew she was going to her cooking class for an hour then heading over to see Taz and Sanjana about getting a job at their place.

His heart soared when dadima walked through the terminal, tears instantly filled up in his eyes as he watched her approach. He strode over closing the distance between them and enveloped her in his arms. Silent tears spilled down their cheeks as they reunited.

Dadima felt her heart pounding rapidly and she was soothed when she felt his arms around her.

She was with her Maan again. She was finally with her Maan. The last few months distance had torn them apart but she was with him now. He was no longer miles away, he was here.

"I missed you so much dadima" Geet murmured as she pulled back swiping her wet cheeks.

"I missed you too bete" Dadima chuckled brushing her own tears away. "I've missed you both" she looked between them as Maan approached them. "My heart, my house was empty without you in it" she wept. "Without you, I'm incomplete" she clasped Geet's hands tighter.

Geet bit down on her lip and hugged dadima again. "You're here now, you're going to stay with us" she stated.
