What really shocked everyone was the bond geet has now developed with her mother-in-law. Those days were in the past when she used to call Savitri "mamiji". Nowadays she simply follows the other children of Savitri and calls her mama. when exactly this change happened nobody knows. it pleases maan to no end. After his marriage, many of his colleagues -cum-friends had made the comment on days when he will have to through difficult where he will have to choose between his mother and wife.
Some days he hates this very bond. in one such instance, maan came home early to take his lovely wife on a dinner date. He told the same to his mother, but his lovely wife directly refuse to go on dinner, reason being her mama has made her favorite kahdi. Maan tried to coax her but she refused to listen to him. This angered maan and he refuses to have dinner. To please her husband, she gives him a lot of cheese kisses and demands him to take her to the cream parlor. Maan agrees as he thought he will somehow have his date with geet even if the menu changes but he forgets the working of his wife's mind. After dinner, he got ready and wait in the car for geet. geet being gets tagged along with Preet and Savitri. Maan coverup his anger and sarcastically ask geet.
Maan - geet papa kaha...did not you ask him to come.
Geet answer innocently - Ji woh papa ka man nhi hai ice cream ke liye.
Maan- maybe you did not have asked her nicely. he spat out angrily and continue the journey with making any conversation with geet.
It would not be correct to say maan enjoyed his time with family, yes, he wanted to have some lone time with his wife but he can't refuse the pressure of having some family time. they spend time teasing each other and had lot of fun. Maan was parking the car in their small garage while geet and Savitri went to finish the leftover work. preet waited for her brother and hug him tightly. maan back his sister back and waited for her to say something. Preet cried hugging her brother. Words refuse to come out of her mouth. Maan silently smooths her back let his sister cry. After five minutes she pulled away.
Preet - I don't know what to say bhai. I am just so emotional. I love you a lot Bhai. You have always take care of me.
Maan- I love you to sis...and there is still time for you to cry. You can cry as much as you want on your wedding,..ok... (he smile and kissed her forehead)
Preet hugged him tightly and said, "I don't want to leave you.."
Maan - you really do not have just tell me to stop the wedding and i will take care of everything like i always do. (he teased her)
Preet slapped his arm for teasing her.
Preet- I am serious that you mean a lot to me...never forget that ok
Maan- hmm... and you are my first bacha...you can tell me whatever youwant..ok...your Bhai is always there for you...
Preet - hmm...so, I am first bacha...should I start waiting for the second one...(she tease her brother)
Maan- only if you want to be the first bhua...(maan smirk and hold her hand to take her inside.
At night, maan hugged his wife and whisper thank you in her ear. Geet smiled at his gesture and hugged him back. somewhere they have reached the stage where he could understand the silent needs of each other. that night maan was thankful to his wife for thinking about his family. After his conversation with his sister, he truly wants to spend some more time with his sister, as after some months, preet will this home forever. he has limited time to spend with his only sibling before they gave into the customs of society. Look at sleeping geet, he makes up his mind to ask geet whether she wants to visit her parents' home. She must have been missing her family.
Geet was surprised to see her husband up before her. She checked the time to see she was late. But according to room clock,she was on time still to be double sure she grabbed her phone from the side table to check it. Her eyes widen in surprise to find two beautiful pink fresh roses on the table. She took the, in her hand and kiss them, feeling loved all over. yes, she knew that these flowers are from their garden, she can't stop herself from being overwhelmed with her husband's gesture.
After taking shower, she got ready and before she d step out of room, Maan comes inside with hot streaming coffee for both of them. She quickly hug and told him that she will be back. Maan nodded his head as he knows that she will be visiting small mandir they have in their home. He waited and after she is back both have coffee early in the morning.
Maan asks about her family and expresses his concerns. she ensures that she talked to them daily. He suddenly remembered the incident that happened on Preet's Roka. At that time, they were not close he did not ask about it. It has been bugging him for a long time and he finally asks her about it
Geet shakes her head at that and refuse to give in the details. she simply said,"Maan it is in the past, I do not wish to go back there, please, try to understand me, what happened it happens for the good".
Looking at her, he understands she truly does not want to talk about it. he let it be commanding to her wishes. Geet smiled at him and start talking about some funny incident related to her children. he smiles at his wife's cover-up technique. When she feels uncomfortable she simply starts sharing some fun things with him and maan press her more and let things go, maybe this is the way things happen. Some times it is better to keep the secret in the confinement of walls.
