Yes, 007 has been played by many but what Sean Connery offered others did bring a different zest to it and it was need to continue this idea.

The recent one Daniel Craig has this eye catching charisma after Roger More.

Pierce Brosnan, His debut, GoldenEye, is also the first film in the series not to be based on Ian Fleming’s stories, making his status as one of the all-time great Bonds even more impressive.

So if I am not wrong they did try this idea with IPK 3 and honestly it had a chance to work as Barun was great, but the tools which supposed to enhance his character were the weakest of all. From stroy to dialogues, to sets and ideas. I was like what are these creators thinking?

But we IPK fans will always remember Barun as Arnav...forever.

Just watched and what he is saying is correct. No doubt anyone can do it and probably better than him. No offense, talent is everywhere. Again as you said, What he left as a legendary ASR for us that will be for a long time to erase.

Now I don't agree with you in this idea to compare IPK to 007.

James Bond, a series of thrillers, espionage missions, not a star crossed love story. The change in character, by all means, was inevitable to show and represent the mission of secret services and how can these be achieved by different agents known as 007. or one agent with different faces on to catch the audience.

After IPK we have different IPK with different faces too, it did catch the audience because they had a route of kitchen politics and other spices in it. IPK3 was lacking the base, The story. It has nothing to do with other characters in my eyes, it was lacking all fields, including the direction as I could hardly watch after three, forcefully I watched 5 and I left. No doubt, Barun was looking handsome as ever, but what an actor can do when he has no tools to project him.

I am one of those who love to see him in different roles and looking for something where he could shine like ASR. Tu hai mera Sunday, is a great pleasure to watch. I loved his short movie Derma, and now Asur. He is great in emoting certain expressions, it comes naturally. Again I am a sucker of good drama and shows, not everything settles with me easily.

How are you and how things are at your end.

I know right. Things are disaster around and life has a stop sign from our running around busy touchwood style. Things which we were taking as granted now make sense to be relived every moment.

I agree, anyone can do it but he has marked us for some reason and no one else can take that mark yet until or unless we have someone way better than him.

IPK 3 started well, like a filmy style i must say but what happened after that, Idk. The big thing as you mentioned, there was no storyline, things were changing drastically and I was having issues with those quick shot changing exercises they had, like what was that. But Barun was looking mature in his character.

He is a great actor and no doubt, his emotive skills have a variety of range. I always wait for their new projects. Derma is a fabulous one. :)

Loving the discussion here :)

I am watching Asur, so loving it. :) But in my opinion Barun could do better in emoting such character, I kinda see him lacking at certain points. But over all the series is awesome, I mean the concept, the mystery, a pure joy to watch. A mythological background with strong actors have added a lot.
