Near yet so far - very disturbing. Khushi could only find solace in speaking her heart out to Nani. I'm glad Aarav distracted her and lightened the mood. Hoping that Arnav gets some lone time with Khushi to fix the wrong.

Khushi is hit with all the memories in the house. Hope Arnav gets a chance to talk to her and explain his side. He did have a reason, but he could have reached out a little more.

I was so happy to see that you had updated this story. So at last the dark clouds surrounding the family have as disappeared. The whole family can now freely stay together as one unit, hearing that kushi and Aarav went to RM.

kushi was hesitant to get inside but Arnav blackmailed her using the children as a shield. kushi stepped inside the house and went to see the house as she had many memories associated with this house. She did not step inside their bedroom as she did not want to be reminded of the fond memories associated with that room. She went to Nani’s room and had a heart to heart talk with Nani’s photograph.

She clearly avoided Arnav did not look at his face also as she was and is hurt by Arnav’s callous behaviour .Arnav may have to go down on his knees and apologize then only kushi will agree

Hey all I’m sorry for the delay in this - work and other stresses but I hope to get this back on track this weekend as well as old fashioned love.

hope you’re all healthy and happy.

Chapter 11

“Dad, there’s something I need to tell you” says Aarav as he watches his father skill-fully cutting him a taster slice of pizza.

“Sure..” says Arnav as he puts a small slice on a taster plate for his son.

Aarav takes a moment to word this properly.

“It turns out I have diabetes”

The moment Arnav heard those words he instinctively paid all his attention to his son.

Aarav could feel his father trying to make out his eyes. The concern was comforting for Aarav. As was the way his father seemed to drop very thought and action for him.

“I’m sorry son, for passing on my illness“ his eyes are sensitively apologetic.

Something Aarav only saw now and again.

It’s okay, I’m cool with it” said Aarav.

That was a sign of young age and humility thought Arnav.

“Let’s talk more later” said ASR putting the palm of his hand over Aaravs shoulder.

...

Meanwhile in the lounge Aditi lays out the table and Khushi helps her to when she gets the placement of the cutlery the wrong way round.

It’s fine mom you sit down I got this she says pushing her mom towards a chair at the table. “Aditi this is your Pas seat” says Khushi as she ends up at the chair at the head of the table.

“No big deal”says Aditi shrugging her shoulders and to prove her point Arnav came and sit on a totally different chair closer to Aditi even without being the loop about what was going on here.

“See” said Aditi to which Arnav raised an eyebrow.

“See what?” Said Arnav looking at Aditi and a little more at Khushi as he picked up a olive on a cocktail stick and put it in his mouth.

“Nothing, I’m super hungry so Pizzas ready yes!?” Asks Aditi with excited eyes.

Yes it is smiled Arnav to which he gets to see his daughter rush around to him and hug him. “Best Pa ever”

Wash your hands he warns her..

Khushi smiles, the pair of them always had a beautiful relationship.

Arnav was always different for his daughter.

Whilst Arnav would have liked for Khushi could stay at the table so they could talk Khushi didn’t want to put her self in that situation and so went off to wash her hands. The conscious effort to avoid him was clear.

Something which continued over dinner. Khushi was quiet but pleasant as she had said was here for the children.

Where possible she avoided Arnav.

...

Aarav and Aditi were good siblings they joked and laughed. The this or that game was something that reminded them of bygone family times.

“Chocolate or strawberry?”

“Erm chocolate said Aditi”

“Netflix or amazon prime?”

“Netflix”said Aarav

“Cakes or pancakes?

“Oh no Cake.. er Pancakes” Aditi gets all mixed up and Khushi and Arnav in the background find it amusing thinking back to toddler Aditi who’s confusion was always so adorable.

Giving up Aditi had one for her Dad.

“Pa, - Me or Aarav?”

“Kids! - don’t be silly” interrupts Khushi

Arnav looks on lightly at Khushi than back at Aditi. Living with his daughter over these few months certainly had changed him.

“Go on pa we used to play this all the time as kids don’t you remember just for fun

Me or Aarav pick one” she didn’t want her dad to be spoil sport.

Arnav paused for a second on his food

“I choose your mother ..” he said casually.

“cuuuute!!!!” Said the kids in harmony which threw khushi off a little particularly the look Arnav gave her.

“Excuse me” she said to go to the washroom. Whilst Arnavs eyes followed her towards the kitchen the Kids continued with their food whispering very pleased at how things had turned out.

A couple of mins and as Khushi washed her hands at the kitchen sink post leaving the restroom Arnav was stood behind her holding out a towel. Fetching desert was a excuse to check on her.

Khushis eyes said thank you for the towel but the everything else in them was aloof and distant.

“It was never going to be easy,” he says watching her eyes avoid his gaze.

“That’s why I asked you, begged you not to” she said spiralling into her upset with him.

“We’re in a better place now” he said interjecting her words.

Just dropped the gaze that had caught his for a moment, she didn’t have it in her to argue with him.

“We’re broken it you haven’t noticed” she said looking at the kitchen floor.

As she moved to walk passed him he asked her one more time.

“Give me a chance to put it right - stay”

Arnav Singh Raizada never asked twice he didn’t have to not even to his wife which struck Khushi but she remained silent.

“We should get back to the table” she responds walking away.

.....

As plates around the table were looking finished Khushi looked across the table at Arnav.

“Can you ask the driver to please take me to Mathur house?”

Arnav nodded a yes and picked up his phone whilst Aarav and Aditi looked at each other disappointed.

..

Later that night after Khushi had left Arnav knocked on the surface of Aaravs bedroom door.

Want a hand? Said Arnav seeing Aarav pondering over a insulin injection.

Aarav nodded and Arnav walked in.. took a seat beside his son. Taking the injection from him he applied it.

Ouch said Aditi who walked in just in time.

Made both smile.

Alright son? Asked Arnav and Aarav nodded a yes. “Thanks dad”

Arnav nodded looking towards both of his children he wished them goodnight before leaving the room.

“He looks unhappy” said Aditi looking towards her brother.
