However, Karna was not low-caste. Adhirath was a Kshatriya and Radha was a Brahman so...pata nahi bhai. 😆

It's a misconception that Suta was a chariot driving class. 🤔

Pro, I know that KMG does say Karna was Drona's student, but what the others are saying has its merit.

Why was Karna the only low caste student on Drona's list, the same Drona who refused to teach Ekalavya?

It doesn't make sense at all.

I do believe that Parashurama was Karna's Guru, but each scripture varies as well.

Suta wasn't a low caste.

Karna must have been there due to his foster father's equation with Dhritrashtra.

@bold - these info are not correct.

I have confirmed some things recently regarding the topic we had discussed. Dronacharya rejected to take Karna as a student because he was a neither a kshatriya nor the son of a king. Karna then questioned him about Ashwatthama who was also Drona's disciple even though he was neither of the two but a brahmin's son. Drona could not answer anything because clearly he was very biased and Karna went away with his question. His only guru was Parshuram.

Also Karna did go to Draupadi's swayamvar but he was not allowed to compete and humiliated again for being a suta-putra by Draupadi herself. Were he allowed to compete, he would have surely won because he was capable enough to pierce through the eye of the fish.

I actually believe Karna was Drona's student. 🤔😆

@Bold - A footnote in the Gita Press edition claims that Karna couldn't hit the target.

Draupadi humiliating a stranger in a hall full of people doesn't make sense to me. 🤔

It was because krishna ji said no to her. That's why she reacted in this way. But i didn't like it. 😭

I totally respect your view but according to my understanding and knowledge, Karna was never Drona's student. He was taught by Parshuram in entirety. Mahabharat is told beautifully and almost every character is placed in a grey zone which makes it a true reflection of life. Karna is one complex and debatable grey character.

Draupadi was indeed a bold lady and I can believe that she could speak so against Karna. If she could laugh on Dhritrashtra's blindness and that too so openly in front of his son (andhe ka putra andha), it means she was a person who didn't hesitate or think twice to speak up her mind.

Many publications tell that he was plainly refused to participate in the Swayamvar on account of his caste, many others tell the contrary. I am absolutely okay with all of them. I am more inclined towards the intricacies of MB. All I want is a complex and more complex MB.😆

Personally I feel very sympathetic towards Karna but I also dislike him to the extreme during the humiliation incident of Draupadi. Conflicting perceptions (that's how I feel for almost every MB character). Welcome to Mahabharat😆
