"Mooh toh band karo, uncle," says Abir as he closes Kunal's mouth. Mishti giggles conspiratorially. "Woh bhai...main...woh..main" stutters Kunal as he looks everywhere but at Abir. "Haan Nanko, kya excuse dega tu apni biwi taadne ke liye? Yeh ki tu jaw exercise kar raha tha?" teases Abir. Mishti laughs. Kunal gives them a dirty look,"Haha, very funny, bhai, Mishti." "Kunal, jaa aur apni biwi se mil. Main bhi teri bhabhi ke saath thoda alone time guzarta hoon," says Abir, elbowing him towards Kuhu. Mishti and Abir sneak away and Kunal starts walking towards Kuhu, in a trance. The world seems to have slowed down. The journey to Kuhu seems so long. At five feet, Kunal's eyes glaze over, he seems to have forgotten how to walk. "Kunal, you're so funny," laughs Kuhu. Kunal feels a warmth wash over him at this. His Kuhu can clearly sense his presence. He is about to smile when he notices that Kuhu isn't looking at him. With one hand over her mouth, she is laughing, her other hand on a tuxedoed chest. Kunal's eyes dart upward to see a well-dressed young man, smiling at Kuhu and gazing at her.
Instantly, Kunal feels like that one time Parul Maasi doused him with cold water while throwing out the laundry's dirty water. "Who the fu...?" he mutters when Kuhu looks at him. "OMG, Kunal. Tum aa gaye," she rushes to him, hold his hand and pulls him into the centre of the circle. "So guys, tum log pooch rahe the na ki mera husband kaun hai? Well, here he is, Kunal Rajvansh. #MyBetterHalf" she announces proudly. Kuhu's friends greet Kunal and then it's that...villain's turn. Kunal looks into a face with a boyish charm. The man passes him his perfect smile (Probably got it at the dentist, thinks Kunal) and grasps his hand (Hmph, strong grasp. Yeh probably sirf gym jaata hai. All brawn, no brain) "Hi, Kunal. I am Kunal, Kuhu ka classmate aur uska kya--kehti hai Kuhu-- #lifetimefan. You know bro, you're very lucky. Tumne hamari college ki sabse khoobsurat ladki se shaadi ki hai. Yeh hi nahi, she's a gem. Par seriously, watch out huh? I mean, ideally, iss Kunal ke saath hona chahiye tha Kuhu ko. Kahi main uda ke na le jaaun," he laughs as everyone, including Kuhu join him. 'Uda toh main tujhe doonga, Kunal' thinks Kunal. He tightens his grip suddenly and the other Kunal flinches. "Oh sorry, woh haste haste maine galti se thoda tight pakad liya," apologises Kunal, as he curses Kunal 2 mentally. "It's okay, man. Main hoon hi itna funny," Kunal 2 shoots back without missing a beat. "Kunal, are you okay?" comes Kuhu's concerned voice. "Haan" ring out two voices in unison and the two Kunals look at each other. Laughter breaks out. "Arre #ladakuchhokro, main tumhe kyun poochhungi yeh. Bechare Kunal ka haath marod diya tumne," says Kuhu as she holds Kunal 2's hand, tilting it to see any damage. Kunal sees red at the sight of his wife holding another man's hand.

Kunal's hand ball into fists as Kuhu and Kunal 2 laugh and joke, all while Kuhu holds Kunal 2's hand. "Ladies and gentleman..." booms the announcer's voice over the speakers. Kunal snaps out of his reverie, feeling annoyed at having to disengage himself from imagining putting itching powder down Kunal 2's perfect, perfect tuxedo. The emcee declares that the dance floor is now open! "Kuhu, may I?" asks Kunal 2, flashing a sheepish smile as he bows and holds his hand out. "Wait. Actually, Kunal, mujhe tumhe bhi poochna chahiye. May I please dance with your gorgeous wife? Main aur Kuhu college mein dance partners the." What a jerk he is to put me in this position. Main na kahunga toh lagunga ki main ek typical, possessive husband ho. Nahi, main iski saazish nahi poori hone doonga, thinks Kunal. "Sure," Kunal bites out, putting on a fake smile. The music starts and Kunal 2 and Kuhu start dancing. Kunal heads to the bar. "One coke please, on the rocks." He turns around with the glass and takes a swig as Kunal 2 twirls Kuhu around and she laughs. Kunal remembers a film Ketki had showed him, where the guy stares at his beloved with another man as he downs alcohol. "Don't be dramatic, Kunal. Tum coke pi rahe ho aur Kuhu dance hi kar rahi hai. Bewde aasqhiq mat bano," he breathes out. The music is reaching its crescendo. Kunal's grip tightens. His Kuhu is in that scum Kunal's hands, his hands are on his waist. "Tod na doon main tumhare haath, Kunal," he says as Abir approaches him. "Nanko, tu apne hi haath todne ki baatein kyun kar raha hai," asks a shocked Abir. Kunal's eyes are trained on Kuhu. Kuhu laughs again and Kunal 2 brings her closer. "That's it!", Kunal grinds out, slamming the glass on the counter. "Ek minute, bhai." He walks towards Kuhu and Kunal 2 with a purpose, like a tiger stalking towards its prey. "May I cut in, Kunal?" he says, with a light smile on his lips. Kuhu and Kunal 2 look at him and Kunal 2 smiles, letting Kuhu's hand go. The lights dim further and the song changes: Ek ho gaye hum aur tum, toh udd gaye neende re...
Kuhu squeals excitedly. "That's our song, Kunal!"
"True, it is our song" he says, his eyes darkening.
He pulls Kuhu in and she crashes into his chest. She looks up at him, surprised. He twirls her around and brings her in, Kuhu's back is to his chest. The song picks up. Kunal nuzzles Kuhu's neck and Kuhu feels his stubble prick her skin. She blushes. "Kunal, yeh kya kar rahe ho tum?"
"Wahi, jo uss din poora nahi ho paaya tha,"Kunal whispers. Kuhu's eyes widen and her mouth forms a perfect O but Kunal doesn't give her time to react. He twirls her back around and traces his finger down her cheek. She shudders. His hand deliberately ghosts across her back and he grasps her waist firmly. Kuhu gasps, blushing prettily. The music continues and everyone dissolves into the background. Kuhu and Kunal only have eyes for each other. Kuhu smiles sneakily as she decides to not let Kunal have all the fun. She looks at him sultrily, running her hands up his chest to lock them firmly around his neck. Kunal realises he doesn't want to dance anymore. He just wants to take her home.
He twirls her one final time as the song ends, only to pick her up in his arms. They gaze at each other, Kuhu's hand on his cheek.
Tonight no other people exist.
It's only Kuhu and Kunal.
Clarity, yaaaarrrrr, I'm SCREAMING!!!!! I could literally SEE it happening in my head and now I have a stupid grin on my face that I can't wipe off!

We can be extra cruel and make the part where he cuts in (in clarity's latest addition) Kunal's dream -- Dil To Pagal Hai stylez 😈 I have a hard time imagining Kuku, being the super private couple they are, actually doing all that dirty dancing in public 😲😆

It definitely was heavy but so fulfilling too!! I absolutely loved the way the author has described Kuhu's struggle with her feelings around Mishti. It's so beautifully done!!
Let's continue with Sheetal/Kuhu/Atul-Ketu story tomorrow because after reading Snow, Clarity and your story of the alumni meet, I can't think of serious things.
I'll share my imaginative piece here only. It's not too fleshed out and I would love it if anyone can continue it further.
It basically starts after Kunal asks Mishti to tell him the theme for the Sangeet. Kuhu comes back to call Mishti saying "We have a lot to prepare aur tu yahaan dushman team ke saath khade ho kar hans rahi hai. Chal yahaan se!". Right then Abir comes in and stops both of them from leaving by dramatically saying, "Not fair bro! Tumne mujhe dushman kaha. Mujhe?! Apne bro ko?!"
Kunal: Tch tch tch! Kuhu! Tum mere bhai ke baare me aisa kaise keh sakti ho? Unke hridaya ko kitni thes pohonchi hai, tumhe koi idea bhi hai?
Kuhu and Mishti look at both the brothers with a disapproving look and just when Kuhu says, "Ho gaya aap dono ka ya aur drama karna hai?", Mishti's phone chimes indicating she just received a message. She opens her phone to check who it is from and exclaims, "Ye Karan mujhe kyun message kar raha hai?" and looks at Kuhu quizically. Abir's ears stand up and he says,
Abir: Ye Karan kaun hai?
Kuhu: Meri taraf kya dekh rahi hai? Tere padhaaku dost tujhe boring baatein karne ke liye message kar rahe hain, isme meri kya galti?
Mishti: Ye wo Karan nahi. WO waala Karan hai!
Abir (to Kunal): 2-2 Karan hain?? (Kunal has a confused expression on his face and his eyes keep flitting to look at all 3 of them.)
Kuhu: Ab ye WO waala Karan kaun hai? (She looks at Mishti's wide suggestive eyes and suddenly realises who she is talking about.) Oh!😯😮 WO Karan tujhe kyun message kar raha hai?
Mishti: Maine bhi wahi poochha tha Kuhu😑
Kuhu: Message tujhe aaya hai na? To jawaab main kaise doon. Kholegi to apne aap pata chal jaayega.
Both sisters look nervously at each other.
Kuhu: On the count of 3??
Mishti nods. They start counting, "one..two...and" then they realise both the brothers have sneaked up behind them and are looking at the phone screen with bated breath "and threeeee, guys!! Kholo message!" Shout Abir and Kunal.

To be continued tomorrow?? I'm super tired and brain won't work anymore but if anyone wants to chip in, feel free to. I'm anyway building it up from my initial imagination as I write.
