The car was slowly driving between the trees on the steady path with birds singing in a sunny day, it's been a while since they had left Nandini house and not a word was spoken between the young boy and the girl, Nandini stole a few glimpses towards Prithvi confused about his mask and him and how was it that her father knew them and she didn't.

Prithvi looked at Nandini who was lost in emotions, he was never comfortable in talking to girls but she looked so week and defenceless, he couldn't understand why he felt comfortable with her.

"Princess," Prithvi called Nandini.

"My name is Nandini Prithvi call me my that name," Nandini declared.

"Actually, I wanted to talk about the same thing there are people over my place who might not know you, as for now you being a princess should stay a secret," said Prithvi confided.

"Ok done I will keep it with my self," Nandini agreed.

"Is your house big that you want us to train over there," Nandini asked interestingly.

"No it's not that big but it's still decent, as for training apart from running we have a separatee place for the training and stuff," said Prithvi.

"really, that's nice I can hardly wait to start the training," said Nandini excitedly.

"And faint the next moment," said Prithvi taunted.

"what you mean," Nandini asked confused.

"I am sorry but look at yourself, you can barely stand on your feet, our first task will be to make you healthy and strong enough for you at least run few inches before you fell like a baby walking for the first time," said Prithvi teasing.

"you know that's insulting right," said Nandini embarrassed.

"Sorry if it sounded like that but it's true, you will eat healthy food and rest for few days when you are strong enough we will start the training and since I am the teacher no further arguments, " said Prithvi before Nandini could reply back.

"thank you anyways for agreeing to teach me," said Nandini appreciated.

"welcome," said Prithvi gently.

They got quite again and a few minutes later they reached Prithvi house, the watchman opened the door and they entered. Prithvi stepped out of the car and headed to take out the suitcase.

Nandini stepped out of the car and looked around the place and then to the villa it was a beautiful villa full of sunshine, she smiled it and thought this is the place from there she will be leaving being a different person.

"shall we go in," said Prithvi breaking her thoughts.

'ya let's go," said Nandini cheerfully.

"hi Prithvi," a voice called behind them.

"terrific the last thing I needed," said Prithvi with disappointment.

they looked behind and saw it was paridhi he rolled his eyes on seeing her.

"Hi and bye I am busy," said Prithvi dismissing her.

"who is she Prithvi," paridhi asked entustically.

"someone you don't need to know," said Prithvi irked.

But paridhi ignored him and walked pass by him and stood in front of Nandini.

"hi I am paridhi Sharma Prithvi friend's you can call me pari," said paridhi offering a handshake.

"hi I am Nandini," said Nandini shaking hands.

paridhi was waiting for full introduction but Nandini kept quite and pulled her hand back.

Prithvi grinned and looked at paridhi who was boiling with anger at not getting her answer.

"I think your work here is done pari why don't go back let's go Nandini," said Prithvi.

they walked a little further when suddenly Nandini stopped and looked at Prithvi.

"Prithvi I think I left my handbag in the car my phone is in it," said Nandini.

"don't worry you go inside I will get, you look tired so just go in and rest I will get it and come fast," said Prithvi gently.

paridhi looked at them shockingly, she couldn't believe her eyes or ears Prithvi who had never even said hi to her politely was talking so sweet to her and he complyetely ignored her as if she wasn't even there.

"Prithvi tell me the truth who is she," paridhi asked?

"it's none of your business and I think I made myself clear for you to go away and one more thing limit your coming here from now on I don't want you to irritate Nandini too," said Prithvi warningly.

"Why should I, I don't come here for you I come here for khan baba and I will come as much as I want to you cannot stop me," said paridhi close to tears.

"ya and the blush that occurs on your cheeks seeing me that's the proof of you coming here for khan baba," said Prithvi mockingly.

"what? I don't know what are you talking," about said paridhi nervously.

"don't worry I am sure khan baba knows your evil intention besides if he doesn't I will let him know and save the poor soul," said Prithvi smirked.

"you will do no such thing Prithvi," said paridhi.

pari was going to her room when her mom stopped her.

"pari what happen why you look so sad," said vasoda Sharma paridhi mom.

"ok leave it go get ready we are going for shopping," said vasoda.

vasoda smiled at her daughter running happily, there was always one cure for her sadness and that was shopping, it's been 2 years since they moved here at first they didn't even know khan baba had a son but pari always showed an interest in their neighbours until one day she went to their house and meet everyone happily Including Prithvi even if he wasn't showing interest in the pari she always felt her daughter had left some part of hers in that house.

Prithvi walked inside and saw Nandini was still standing he kept the bags on the floor and headed towards her.

"Why are you still standing come and sit," said Prithvi.

"Prithvi is that you," said Khan baba.

both looked at khan baba, Prithvi went hugged him and kissed his hand as always. Nandini folded her hands in namaste.

"namaste uncle," said Nandini nervous fearing not to do something wrong.

"namaste dear," said khan baba who looked at Prithvi.

"baba this is Nandini a friend of mine she will be staying with us for few days," said Prithvi.

"okay son I will tell rahim to keep her bags in the guest room," said khan baba.

"no baba not the guest room she will stay in the upper room close to mine," said Prithvi.

"as you wish son, Rahim come and take these bags into the upper room next to Prithvi," said khan baba surprised.

"if there is a problem than I can stay in guest room uncle," said Nandini.

"yes there is but in you calling me uncle call me khan baba," said khan baba happily.

"go and fresh up and come down to the food," said Prithvi.

"Okay," said Nandini smiling at them and started following Rahim.

when she got out of side khan baba turned to Prithvi with questionable eyes.

"who is she Prithvi," khan baba asked?

"her name is Nandini Rudra prathab baba, Ali bhaijaan has sent her with me to train her," said Prithvi.

when he heard ali name his eyes got moist, he knew his son was working on a mission and it's been 5 years since the last time he had seen him, he understood it was all apart of his mission.

"he will be back soon baba," said Prithvi.

"I know and I will pray for his success I thank my Allah at least I have you Prithvi," said khan baba tearful.

"veer faster," Ali kept screaming at veer who was running hard to make up the time Ali had set and finally he had achieved it.

They both smiled at the victory and turned to the next practice.

Ali gave him a sword and they began to practice the sword fighting but Ali was very good at it every attack of veer went in vain, Ali was just defending he hadn't even started to attack back.

"focus veer you need to break the defence you have to read the next move of your enemy and attack opposite," said Ali.

but veer failed again and again to break the defence.

"let me show you how veer, I will attack and your defence," said Ali.

Ali attacked veer, he tried to defend but to his shock, his sword was thrown in a second.

"How did you do that Ali," veer asked confused.

"I read your movements veer don't focus on opponents face focus on his moments see how will he defence and you do the opposite fighting is not about the strength it's about your intelligence and mind-reading you have to read the mind of the enemy," said Ali.

veer understood what he was saying attacking the body won't win you the war attacking the mind will.

after a few days.

Two people with full black clothes, with turbans and half-covered faces, were fighting the sword fighting.

It was hard to believe who was defeating whom, both were defending the attack and attacking hard on each other, the first one attacked hard on the second and the shoulder was cut but they didn't pay any attention they were thirsty for the victory when the 2 attacked the first defended it but in doing soo the turban fell from the head the long black hair was loosened.

Nandini hair got opened as the turban fell and her face was revealed she turned her hair to her back and started the attack on Prithvi.

Prithvi could feel her anger and the force she was attacking him with but his defence was stronger, he smirked at her, as she was about to attack his chest he lifted his sword in front of him and both swords slammed against each other and it only made Nandini angrier, she attacked again this time on his feet but he jumped, Nandini again aimed his chest but he saved himself again.

"don't force it Nandini, you cannot win with force or anger it only shows how week you are," said Prithvi.

"I am not a week," said Nandini attacking Prithvi again but he bent himself and the wall got hit.

"Ya, I can see you are not forcing," said Prithvi.

"I told you only aiming is not enough you have to aim the mind," said Prithvi.

she attack on his back this time but Prithvi turned to his right and she missed it again.

"your back was to me how did you know where was I attacking," said Nandini confused.

Prithvi took his sword and attacked Nandini sword and in a second she was left disarmed.

"you are dead," said Prithvi.

Nandini was angry on herself she went and sat on the chair and drank the water, panting hard.

Prithvi walked with his bleeding shoulder and sat next to him.

Nandini tore a piece of clothing from her clothes and tied it around his wound while Prithvi looked at her.

"I am sorry about this," said Nandini sadly.

"it's okay don't be," said Prithvi.

"I am a loser I don't know if I could do this," said Nandini.

"you know Nandini you are never defeated until you really give up completely," said Prithvi.

"But I am not progressing Prithvi it's been days since we are training and I feel like I am stuck in the same place as I was at first," said Nandini.

"I think a student can not give results to themself leave that to the teacher," said Prithvi.

"and what are your results, sir Nandini," asked smiling.

"I think you have progressed very well and this wound is the result of it, you see Nandini no one has ever given me even a scratch when it came to fighting but you succeeded that means your progressing very good," said Prithvi impressed.

"you are saying that just to cheer me up," said Nandini sadly.

"nope I am not it's true you are not bad but It's just I am better because I have trained since I was 7 years old and you have started only a few days ago," said Prithvi.

"who used to train you Prithvi," said Nandini.

"Ali bhaijaan my brother," said Prithvi.

"Ohh, I would love to see who wins between you two," said Nandini carefully.

"well after I was fully trained he regretted," said Prithvi.

she went and took the sword and stood in front of Prithvi.

Prithvi smugged and took the sword and stood in front of Nandini.

"remember Nandini attack on the mind, use your own tricks, don't play with the enemy play with enemies mind and don't force instead enjoy it," said Prithvi.

"you shouldn't have said that now you will get defeated," said Nandini.

"it will be fun losing to your student," said Prithvi smirked.

and the crash begins again.

after a few minutes servants came with a tray of dinner, veer and Ali washed their hands and joined the table again.

before anjali could answer a news caught everyone attention.

"And now the big news from Mewar, the ex-king and father of his highness king Vijay Rudra prathab has announced that his heir will be returning home on her 24 birthday since every Prince and princess has to take over their throne the date has been set for the princess of Mewar too but the path is not so easy we have to wait to see if she will be able to impress the people or not, but we have heard from our source that a huge celebration will be held in Mewar for her entry, for now, we have to see what the rivals of Mewar have to say about this we will take a break and coming up the weather news you are watching ajj tak...

Sumer sing turn off the tv. veer was just looking at his food on hearing the names it just made him stop eating.

Ali looked at veer, who was expressionless but everyone got relieved once he started to eat.

"my family friends are throwing a birthday party for their son tomorrow night and they have asked me to bring my friends and I was thinking of you and Karan coming with me," said anjali hopefully.

"I don't know anjali I mean I have training all the stuff I can't skip it," said veer.

"oh, come on veer you can go to the party it is at night and you can skip the training tomorrow and work double the day after tomorrow," said Ali.

"yes, son you should go you haven't been to any parties for a long time," said Sumer.

"ok I will go and let Karan know too," said veer.

it was true she missed her dad and raj both Sara was in boarding school abroad she wished she could hug her tightly. it's been days since she had come and since then khan baba and Prithvi had made sure she was comfortable, they took good care of her, she was used to everything for few days when one day on her she bored resting all day that's when on her request Prithvi showed her the place where they would be training the secret underground place, when Prithvi was first taking her down to show her she was quite surprised seeing the place, the swords the arrows, guns, every sort of things were present that you need for training.

It was awkward at first not knowing what to do and what to don't but with the passing day the awkwardness was gone and the basic training was started, but veer was quite surprised at the ability of her learning things so fast, she was happy that her teacher is proud of her.

"Pari get the hell out of my room!!!, Prithvi yelled.

Nandini wasn't surprised hearing that voice, it could be heard more often in the house, she went out to look at them.

she turns away from him to go when she saw Nandini and stopped.

"really and who are you that I should listen to," said pari rashly.

"it's not yours, it's khan baba house," said pari.

"oh I forgot your secret crush, so this is what it is about, you think khan baba daughter in law will come before his wife seriously pari leave the poor man alone," said Prithvi.

Nandini was controlling the laughter all this while but as soon as pari left she burst into laughter, while Prithvi smiled at her innocent laughter.

"you are too much Prithvi poor girl," said Nandini.

"serves her right, irritating me like that," said Prithvi.

"she like you too much you know, you can't blame her for the jealousy," said Nandini.

"did you need anything that you came," said Prithvi turning red.

"actually my dad called, it's my friend raj birthday tomorrow and he wants me to come desperately," said nandin...

"So what's the problem," Prithvi asked.

"I don't want to miss the training," said Nandini.

"you won't, we will practice a little tomorrow and I will drop you there whenever you want to come give me a call I will bring you," said Prithvi.

Pari is infatuated with Prithvi but he has other things on his mind. Veer and Nandini will be at the same party.

Prithvi stood in front of the mirror fixing his long brown hair while wearing a black suit, everything was alright apart from the mask.

It hurts knowing you can not show yourself to the world for who you are, life can be easy knowing that people know who you are and hard to be the unknown.

He touched his mask and felt like throwing it away and be the person who he really is but he shook his head in disappointment and sighed. He quickly grabbed his phone and car keys as he exited his room.

When he was ready he started moving downstairs but abruptly stopped when he saw Khan Baba waiting for him there. Confused he slowly made his way towards him.

"Baba is everything alright? Why are you standing here ?" Prithvi asked anxiously.

"I don't know why but Prithvi I am worried about you," Khan Baba said gravely.

He had been thinking about it since Prithvi had told him he was going to a birthday party. He couldn't help but be afraid that he would get hurt again.

"Why Baba? What's the matter ?"

"The last time you went to a party didn't end very well Prithvi. I still haven't forgotten the amount of suffering you had to experience."

" You do not have to worry this time Baba. This party already has a theme party and I'll be out of there before it's time to take off our masks." Prithvi assured Baba.

"Ok then my boy take care of yourself, "Khan Baba said.

" You should go rest now Baba " Prithvi said gently.

Khan Baba slowly nodded and went to his room as Prithvi say on the couch waiting for Nandini.

Nandini stood in front of the mirror looking at herself one more time. She was wearing a cream coloured dress with no back which ended right above her knees. Her hair was tied in a bun with a few wisps of hair pulled out and let loose. Like always she kept her makeup natural and minimal. She sprayed herself with some perfume and slid on some matching heels. She took a deep breath and nodded to herself and left her room quickly grabbing her phone.

Prithvi sat on the couch bored waiting for Nandini when he heard the sound of heels. His head snapped to the direction of the sound to come face to face with a sight which made his jaw drop.

" Wow," he whispered. He stared at her from top and bottom mesmerized by her beauty. He had never realized how beautiful she really was. He found himself thinking which glowed brighter... Her or the moon outside his window which he was staring at a few moments ago.

"Wow Prithvi you are looking dashing," Nandini said pulling Prithvi from his trance.

" Why thank you. You look like a true Princess today Nandini just missing a tiara." Prithvi said.

"Thank you. Let's get going. " Nandini said as a slight blush came into her cheeks.

" Yes, your Highness" Prithvi said teasingly. Nandini let out a small laugh as they left the house.

" Rahim chacha " Prithvi called out.

" Yes, son ?" Rahim chacha asked.

" We are going out. Baba knows about it.

Take care of him and if there is an emergency call me immediately." Prithvi said.

" Ok, don't worry son. I'll take care of him."

"Prithvi, wait, Prithvi !! Prithvi !!!!" Pari stopped panting heavily. She was in her balcony when she saw Prithvi and Nandini walking towards the car, dressed up. She had come running to ask Prithvi where they were going but when she reached they were already gone.

She walked back inside and looked around for Khan Baba when she saw Rahim chacha instead.

"Chacha where did Prithvi go? "

"I don't know dear. Prithvi just told me that he was going out with Nandini" Chacha responded.

"Did he not say where ?" Part asked.

"No, I didn't ask."

Pari felt a wave of sadness overcome her as she heard that. She knew Prithvi was hiding something from her and this action of his was proving it. Something was going on between them otherwise the Prithvi; who wouldn't even visit her, has taken Nandini out to god knows where. She thought as hot tears filled her eyes.

The feeling of rejection made her heartache. Slowly the tears started to stream down her face.

But she wouldn't let her love to be snatched by someone else it was time for her to make some things clear to that Nandini and she couldn't wait till morning, she would wait here until they would come back.

"Veer we are getting late ! What are you doing ?" Karan asked impatiently.

"I am coming !" Veer yelled back. Suddenly Karan's phone started to ring. He picked up to check the caller id and saw that it was Anjali.

"Hi Anjali, we are coming. It's just that your friend is taking more time to get ready than girls." Karan said teasingly.

"I am here," said a voice, Karan turned around and saw Veer standing wearing a dark blue suit matching shoes. Looking as handsome as ever.

"Wow bro. You look handsome," said, Karan.

"You too bro. Now let's go or you will start to feel nervous," said Veer sheepishly.

"Very funny, let's go." Karan said smiling as they left.

Nandini and Prithvi were near their destination. Nandini's phone rang and to her surprise it was Raj.

"Hi Raj, we are almost there." Nandini said.

" Okay, meet me in the parking lot." Raj said through the phone.

" Yeah sure. " Nandini responded before hanging up.

"It was Raj, he said he was waiting in the parking lot to welcome us," Nandini told Prithvi.

"That's thoughtful of him," said Prithvi.

"What are you thinking Prithvi ? "Nandini asked, noticing his frown.

"I will stay with you as long as everyone is wearing their masks. But if the party goes on after the masks are removed, I will wait in the car till your ready to go home. " Prithvi said gently.

"You don't have to wait, we can go home the moment everyone's masks are removed" Nandini said.

"Thank you," Prithvi said with a small smile.

"It's the least I can do for you."

There was that smile on her face again. The smile that brought a smile onto Prithvi's face. Her beauty and innocence would melt even the toughest rocks.

They reached the parking lot and Nandini saw Raj was already waiting for them. He was holding masks in his hand for them. Veer quicly parked the car and they both stepped out.

"Hey Nandini," Raj said cheerfully.

"Hi Raj," Nandini said while hugging Raj.

"I am so happy you came," Raj said.

Prithvi frowned seeing them hug, but kept quiet. To her he was just her friend and that didn't give him the right to stop them. He thought to himself sadly but irritated at the same time.

"I am sorry I couldn't bring you a gift," Nandini said apologetically.

Prithvi smiled to himself and thought 'but I am not, in fact I think that's the best thing I have done today.'

"You are here right now. I could wish for a better gift." Raj said with a grin.

Say something new, idiot. Prithvi thought, rolling his eyes annoyed.

"Raj, this is my friend Prithvi, " Nandini said, gesturing to Prithvi.

"Hi Prithvi," Raj said offering his hand for a handshake.

"Hi, Raj. Happy birthday," Prithvi said with a straight face.

'You better stay away or else today will become your doomsday,' Prithvi thought internally.

"I had brought 2 masks but you are already wearing one," said Raj.

Prithvi was starting to get irritated and his temper was rising slowly ..

"Ohh yeah. Actually he had one at home so he thought why not use it, but I still need one," Nandini explained.

"Yeah sure. Here," Raj said, offering the mask.

"Nandini, we should go now or we will end up staying out here till the party finishes." Prithvi said, trying to keep his cool.

"Ohh yeah. I am sorry, you two should go inside. I am actually waiting for a few more guests, " Raj said.

Nandini shot Prithvi, a confused look at his behaviour. "Ok sure, come soon," Nandini said and walked towards the hall.

They reached the hallway when Nandini saw all the couples standing holding hands. She turned towards Prithvi and saw how he put some distance between them. She smiled and took his hand into hers. Slightly shocked Prithvi turned to look at Nandini. He realised that she was doing it to make him feel more comfortable. The thought brought a smile to his face.

"Nandini ! My princess," Vijay said coming in for a hug.

"Hi dad," Nandini said, hugging him.

"I missed you so much honey. It's been days since I last saw you." Vijay said.

"I missed you too dad,"

Vijay turned to Prithvi and smiled at him.To Nandini's surprise Prithvi bent and touched Vijay's feet as Vijay placed his hand on his head and blessed him.

"How are you Prithvi ?" Vijay asked his voice full of affection.

"I am fine. how are you ?" said Prithvi gently.

"I am good. I am glad you came,"

"Dad, I think it's time to wear our masks," said Nandini.

"Yes, honey. Let's wear the mask," said Vijay as they put on their mask.

"Anjali, why are your friends taking so long ?" Raj complained.

Anjali who was staring at the empty road smiled when a car pulled up "Thank God ! Here they are," said Anjali relieved.

"Guys ! What took you so long ?" said Anjali.

"Sorry ! Sorry ! We are late," Karan apologised.

"Never mind. This is the birthday boy Raj. Raj, these are my friends Veer and Karan," Anjali introduced.

"Hi, Happy birthday here is your gift," Karan said.

"Thank you so much, here are your masks, let's go inside," said Raj.

The party was in full swing. People were dancing, some were drinking while others were catching up with old friends and busy gossiping.

Nandini was sitting with Prithvi when she suddenly started to feel uneasy. She just couldn't understand why. She tried to ignore it at first but it kept increasing by the minute. When Prithvi noticed her unease he turned to her and asked.

" Are you ok ? " his voice full of concern.

She gave him a smile and nodded not wanting him to worry.But before he could ask anything else Raj interrupted them.

"Nandini, my parents want to meet you."

Prithvi clenched his jaw in annoyance. Oh so now you're bringing the parents into the picture. He thought in anger.

Raj took Nandini away while Prithvi remained where he was.

"Mom,dad meet Nandini" Raj introduced.

" Hi, beta " Mr Kundra greeted.

" Hi uncle, hi aunty," said Nandini.

"How are you Nandini ? Raj has told me so much about you," Mrs Kundra says.

" I am good aunty."

Meanwhile Prithvi got thirsty and started heading towards the bar to get a drink. But on the way, bumped into Veer who was walking towards Raj. Prithvi who was unfazed by the collision continued walking.

Veer felt like he had clashed with stone. He caressed his shoulder and cried out to Prithvi "Watch it, man !" but Prithvi ignored him.

Nandini saw Prithvi sitting alone at the bar and decided to join him. Unfortunately Raj decided to join Nandini too

"Hey, are you oldies going to come and dance," Raj asked teasingly.

Irritated by his presence Prithvi looked at the dance floor and said "You call this monkeys jumping dance," said Prithvi

Nandini pressed her lips together to stop herself from laughing.

Raj felt embarrassed. Either he was an arrogant spoilt brat or he was a very good dancer. Raj thought to himself.

" Well then why don't you show us how to dance Prithvi," Raj said challenging.

"I don't like dancing. You can go Nandini," Prithvi told Nandini ignoring Raj.

"Doea that mean you don't know how to dance,"

"Come on Prithvi ! This is a matter of your pride ! You have to show them. " Nandini said encouraging him

"Ok fine. But I won't dance to this stupid Rick music. Ask the DJ to play this. " He said handing his phone to Raj.

Raj walked over to the DJ and did as told while Prithvi pulled Nandini to the dance floor.

Nandini looked at Prithvi with her eyebrows scrunched up in confusion and asked " Are you sure ?"

"Do you trust me ? " Prithvi asked in response.

"Yes."

Veer stopped drinking and looked up when Karan tapped on his shoulder and gestured towards the couple on the dance floor.

Veer felt butterflies and his heart skipped a beat as he looked at the girl.

"Wow, Veer what a girl !" said Karan.

But Veer ignored him lost in his own thoughts. Why did she look so familiar ? Why was my heart racing just looking at her ? Her face was hidden behind the mask but he knew her but just couldnt put a name to it. His heart was screaming something that his mind refused to understand.

"Prithvi," Nandini whispered, "Everyone is staring at us, ".

"Really I didn't notice," he said chuckling.

Prithvi placed his hand on her waist, and took her hand into his with the other. Nandini followed and placed her hand on his shoulder.

The slow music started to play and they began to sway to it. Nandini follows his movements trying to go with his rhythm.

She adapts quickly and allows him to lead. He could see how much she trusted in that moment.. She savors the movements, taking the time to complete each step before moving on to the next. She embellishes her steps, with a wave of the arm or a toss of the head, but does not interfere with what her partner is leading.

His movements flowed with grace that would take your breath away. Every step in sync with the slow rhythm of the music. He was elegant but at the same time had a firmness to him that showed that he wasn't one to be messed with.

Both were dancing and enjoying the moment. Ones movements complimenting the other. The audience couldn't take their eyes of them. Some stared in awe while some stared in jealousy.

Nandini could feel the heat rising to her cheeks. She knew that the blush was visible but in that moment she couldn't care less. She just wanted nothing but for this moment to last forever. She let go for the first time in a while. Let go of her worries and pain, she finally felt at ease.

They had become one, as their movements seemed to be of one rather than of two people. As the song came to a close, he spun her. She then moved away and Prithvi pulled her closer and dipped her down as they stared into each others eyes. But were pulled out of their daze as the entire audience broke out into applause.

Nandini couldn't stop smiling at Prithvi not believing the moment that they just had.

"Wow I am must say Prithvi that was one heck of a dance !" Raj said impressed.

"Thank you, I am sure it was better than the monkey dance," said Prithvi.

"Definitely" Raj said with a grin.

"See Nandini I didn't let our pride get harmed," Prithvi said proudly.

"It was a dream dance Prithvi, no one dances like that nowadays," said Nandini as they smiled at each other.

Raj excused himself to go to the washroom and after few minutes Veer and Karan did too. Veer and Raj had taken off the masks in the bathroom while they were washing their hands.

"Nice party Raj,"

"Thank you but the best part is yet to come." Raj said with a grin.

"What is it ?" Veer.

"You will see soon, the DJ is going to announce it." Raj said winking at Veer.

"Okay then, let's go," Veer said, making his way out after grabbing a mask. But he had accidentally grabbed Raj's mask instead of his.

"Hey, everyone, this is your DJ speaking and now before we cut the cake there is a special round we are going to play, under all the masks there Is a number tagged which only shines in the dark when the lights turns off, you will take off your mask and look at the number and find your partner who has the same number. Everything will be dark apart from the dance floor. When you find your partner make your way over to the spotlight and after the dance reveal yourself to your partner. All the best EVERYONE !"

Everything went dark, and everyone took off their masks and checked their number. Nandini followed and took off her mask as well. On her mask a bright 07 glowed. But Nandini just shook her head and stood in her corner. To her love, partners and relationships everything was meaningless.

Veer looked at his number and looked around but saw no one.

"Why don't you show it off ?" Karan asked Veer.

"Because I find this stupid," said veer.

"Oh come on Veer who knows you might find a beautiful partner today. Give me that will you," he said snatching the mask from Veer and waving it in the air.

"Like I give a damn," Veer said rolling his eyes.

Nandini stood in the corner looking at people finding their partners saw the number 07 in the air moving backwards and forth. She took her number and lift it in the air as well just for the sake of enthusiasm and she was also curious to know who was it.

"Veer there she is over there," Karan said excitedly.

"I am not going," Veer said stubornly.

"Oh yes, you are ! Get up," Karen said pulling Veer of the chair and pushing him towards the number.

Nandini paused a little looking at the person who was holding the number. With every step she took towards him she felt heart skip a beat and at the same time anxiety grow. She felt the delicate breeze and comfort of when someone dear was near by.

Veer reached the spot of the unknown person and put on his mask again. Nandini's heart and mind were having a battle of their own, her heart knew it was him but her mind refused to believe it. But the moment they were face to face her mind went blank.

"Shall we dance Ms.07 ?" Veer whispered offering his hand.

"Yes..yes," Nandini said hesitantly.

She took his hand and she felt like sparks fly at the contact. It was getting stranger by the minute.

They stood on the dance floor and the spotlight landed on them. The music started and their gazes met . Veer placed both his hands on her waist while she had her hands wrapped her arms around his neck as they started to sway slowly to the music. They forgot who they were and where they were, all they could think about was the comfort and warmth they were feeling. The feeling they both missed each passing day.

Prithvi's eyes roamed the hall searching for Nandini. He had gone out to attend a call and now couldn't find her. He kept looking until his eyes landed on the dance floor and saw her. His hands clenched into fists but he stayed on his spot.

Nandini wasn't in control anymore, as he tugged her closer to him. Veer wasn't in control either. He wanted to stop himself but he couldn't.

It's been three long years since she felt the warmth of this touch. She missed the feeling of safety she felt in his arms, she had lost the ability to think, to say, to feel.

Veer had missed this feeling of holding her in his arms. Her soft skin touching his own, glowing under the spotlight. Her mystery eyes staring back into his own. All together was driving him. But only one thing was missing, Veer slowly lifted his hand and pulled out the clip that was holding her hair in a bun, and let it free. Her hair flowed down letting the wind play with it.

Nandini lowered her gaze to hide the blush, but he gently lifted her chin asking for her gaze, she smiled at him and concealed her face on his chest while he took her in his embrace. He made her feel as she was born for this embrace.

The music stopped, once again the applause began, Veer and Nandini jumped apart and looked around. They had forgotten where they were, they looked at each other embarrassed, trying to hide their smiles.

Prithvi didn't know when he had crushed the glass in his hand which pierced through his skin. Blood was dripping from his hand but he couldn't care less. The pain of the sight in front of him was way worse than of the cut in his hand.

"And now ladies and gentlemen it's time to remove the masks. Come on love birds show your partner who you are." The DJ's voice was heard.

Veer and Nandini started to remove their masks at the same moment since Nandini's hair was open the mask was tangled up in it. Veer took of his mask and turned and to his horror and shock he saw Saiba standing in front of him. His heart started to race as he took a few steps back unable to believe his eyes.

Nandini finished removing her mask and turn around to see Veer standing in front of her with a shocked expression mirroring hers.

Nandini kept whispering "This can't be No!!! No!!!! " again and again.

Raj was left in a helpless situation. He couldn't understand what to do, it was supposed to be him in Veer's place and this was the moment where he would propose to her but now he didnt know what to do.

"Prithvi your hand is bleeding," Vijay said looking at his hand. He quickly pulled out his handkerchief and wrapped it around his hand. He looked at him and followed his gaze and to his horror saw Veer and Nandini face to face.

Prithvi frowned seeing Nandini backing up. He knew something was wrong from the sudden anxiety that appeared on her face. Prithvi knew it was time to leave.

"Ali come here ASAP," said Vijay on the phone to Ali.

The world was spinning, she felt like the world was closing in on her. She couldn't breathe. Her heart was racing, she didn't know what to do, how to escape this moment. She was afraid if she moved her feet won't cooperate with it trembling. She looked around and called out "Prithvi". As she trembled on the spot someone caught her from behind, she automatically reached for his hand and turned to see Prithvi.

"Take me away Prithvi. I just wanna go please. Let's leave. ," Nandini pleaded.

Prithvi bent down and held her in his arms knowing she was unable to walk. He looked at Veer with such rage, he would have given anything to smash Veer's face in that moment. But he knew his priority had to be Nandini.

Anjali looked at the girl in the boy's arms and instantly recognized who she was. She strode towards Veer " Veer are you okay ?" Anjali asked.

Veer looked at Anjali and she staggered back seeing the rage and anger burning in his eyes. She knew this was not over.

Veer turned around and walked out of the hall. Anjali knew what was coming she looked at Karan who was standing behind her also in shock.

"Karan let's go !" Anjali said.

"God help us," Karan prayed.

Prithvi reached the car and made Nandini stand so he could open the door but before he could someone grabbed him by the shoulder and turned him around harshly but before Prithvi could comprehend what was happening Veer punched him square on his face.

"Prithvi!! " Nandini yelled petrified.

Prithvi was about retaliate back when Nandini caught his hand "Prithvi no. Please ! " Nandini pleaded.

"Fight back if you have guts you moron !" Veer taunted him.

"Prithvi you are under my oath. Please don't listen to him," Nandini begged. It was not Prithvi's life she feared for.

"Get the hell out of here if you love you your life," Prithvi said his voice ice cold trying his best to control his fury.

Nandini throat dried out. She was holding Prithvi back now but she could only imagine how long it would be before he unleashes his wrath.

"Wow ! What a bond you have ! She said stop and you stopped?" Veer said clapping his hands mockingly.

"Veer just go from here," Nandini said.

"Why should I listen to you, I don't give a shit about. So just shut up !" Veer spat angrily.

"Then let us go! Come on Prithvi let's go," Nandini said trying to prevent a disaster.

"Yes, Hide and run away Saiba because you are a coward. That's all you are ! A coward who is too scared to face her problems and runs away ! I can't believe I fell for you."

Prithvi turned to Nandini, with his jaw clenched. "Fight back if you keep quiet today then I never want to see your face again," Nandini looked at him and then at Veer.

"I regret it more than you Veer ! I despise myself for loving you, I hate my body for letting you touch it," Nandini said as she stepped towards him and grabbed him by his collar.

"Take your filthy hands off me," Veer yelled in disgust.

Suddenly, the clear blue sky was covered with grey clouds and thunder began to rumble.

Nandini let go of him and said "I hate you Veer. Remember that."

"I haven't forgotten but you and your boyfriend keep in mind never to cross my path again. I wish nothing but for you to go to hell," Veer said.

"We seem to already be in hell since you are here as well," Nandini said.

"Oh really I don't see it as a matter of fact you seem quite happy. You are playing with his heart now aren't you and when your done you're going to move onto another guy. Wow! you're worse than a s@#t," Veer spat out.

"That's it you are dead," Prithvi said lunging at Veer and starting to punch him.

Veer wanted to punch him back but Prithvi was too fast, too good. Veer couldn't even get one blow while Prithvi was landing punch after punch. He hit him with one last punch to the ribs and Veer fell.

"Prithvi stop it ! Please," Nandini begged again and again but he wouldn't hear anything.

Veer!!!!!" Karan yelled running towards him with Anjali by his side. Karan tried to stop him but Prithvi was too strong.

Prithvi kicked Veer and he flew and landed on the car. His head started bleeding he was about to punch him again but a hand stopped him. He turned to see Ali holding him back.

"Enough Prithvi," Ali said sternly.

Prithvi stopped and lowered his hand but Veer stepped forward to attack again but Ali caught him and held him back.

It started raining and everyone was soaking wet. Nandini dress got transparent because of the water, as it clung to her skin. Ali noticed this and lowered his gaze. Veer looked at her and saw her; wet and broken. She didn't realize what was happening.The rain had washed away the make up .That's when Veer saw it the dark circles around her eyes and thin body, something softened in his eyes.

Prithvi glancd at Nandini and quickly took off his jacket and put it around her shoulders and dragged her to the car by her wrist. The car soon sped of without another word.

"Saiba!!!!," Veer whispered but she was gone with Prithvi. He kept staring at the vacant road hoping that she would return.

"Let's go Veer," Ali said still holding him.

Prithvi was driving so fast that it was impossible to see anything outside. Prithvi anger had still not subsided and he kept swearing under his breaths.

Nandini felt like a dead body without any feelings without and pain or happiness as Veer's words kept repeating in her ears .

Pari had fallen asleep on the couch but her eyes snapped open at the sound of the car. She saw Prithvi coming out of car and strides towards Nandini when she came out he held her hand and supported her to walk.

The anger she was holding in started to surface again. She had had enough and made her way towards them.

They stopped when they saw Pari coming Prithvi had a bad feeling about it.

"Where hava you been Prithvi ?" Pari asked.

"Not now Pari you need to go now," Prithvi calmly.

"Oh really Prithvi when is it a good time ? Since I can't find you alone ever, you are always with her," Pari spat at Nandini.

"Enough ! Not another word Pari. Just go,"

"Who is she to you Prithvi ? " Pari asked closed to tears her rough voice as she swallowed the lump forming in her throat.

"She is someone you can't ever be Pari," Prithvi said in a cold voice.

Those words shattered Pari heart, she heard the sound of her own heart breaking, hot tears made their way from her eyes,

"Prithvi," Nandini tried to say but Prithvi cut her off and said "No Nandini you won't a say word,"

"Pari, you got your answer now it's time to leave and never come back again," said Prithvi rueful.

Pari stepped back silently sobbing.She strode out the house swearing never to come back.

Prithvi looked at her leaving figure then at Nandini. Seeing her in that state broke him even more. They began to walk again silently. The night ended with a lot of broken hearts and some broken souls......

awesome update....actually the fight reminded me of the fight sequence in JA movie somehow lol

Raj was intending to propose to Saiba? Looks like Prithvi has a reason to hate Raj and Veer. Prithvy seems to be falling for Saiba. That will just hurt him later.
