If a stranger is dying u feel for them but here he thinks that she is lying to stop him. Moreover he told her that it doesn’t matter to him whether she dies for real.

She was so wrecked today, she just wanted to console herself, even if it was a lie she didn’t mind. But payed no heed to her pleadings.
