Five: Mr and Mrs Bajaj

Mr Mehra stood with Rishab at the registrar office. Dressed in his traditional black suit which carried a chest pocket and tucked within it was a triangular handkerchief. He looked as sharp as he did every other occasion.

“Has she arrived?”

He asked Mehra to his side

And Mr Mehra answered yes arrived 15 mins ago sir.

A few mins later the doors furthest away from where they were stood opened and Prerna and Kuki walked in hand in hand down the isle.

leaving Rishab still and speechless.

Seeing Prerna dressed in the orange he had picked out for her holding a white bouquet of flowers and beside her his little angle who looked like a little princess in her white flower girl gown.

Prerna on the other hand who could see Rishab from afar smiled. He looked just like she had expected gentlemanly.

“You look stunning” he speaks after a moment as they stop in front of him

“Aap bhi” says Prerna with a smile

“And me?” Calls out Kuki from beside Prerna.

“You too!” Says Rishab putting his hand lovingly over her head.

“Shall we begin” interrupts the registrar however Rishab Insists on a little more time. “Just a second” says Rishab.

“We have one more guest too”

Prerna unaware of this is pleasantly surprised when her mother walks in.

“Ma..Aap ..” Prerna instinctively walks towards her mother.

“ha ..(yes) nods Veena cupping her daughters face, khoobsurat lag rahin hai aur khush bhi, ab Jaaon convincing her now wasn’t the time to get emotional.

Prerna and Rishab sign on the dotted line.

Although not intended by the couple Veena had bought with her and insisted on a mangalsutra and sindoor.

Even Before the registrar could confirm they were now married Prerna had tucked her face into Rishabs chest.

He could feel her tears dampen the material of his suit and comforted her with a smile.

Post the intimate affair and a small reception party organised by Mehra, on return home Prerna had to put Kuki to bed however Veena insisted that as Kukis Nani she would be happy to spend time with her grand daughter. Prerna ought to be with Mr Bajaj.

Elsewhere in Rishabs room, Just having walked in he notices the handy work of house help who had left rose petals on the bed. Loosening his collar somewhat he takes a seat back in his armchair. Thinking of Mrs Bajaj was just natural.

Sometime later after kuki finally let’s prerna part from her and Veena shares a mother daughter conversation Prerna steps into Rishabs room, their bedroom from now on.

Prerna walked in slightly conscious that this was their new beginning.

The room like every other carried his feel. When she walked in she saw him rested in his chair. He looked peaceful, not a hair out of place, still handsome, poised powerfully.

There was so much she wanted to share with him, a thank you, maybe a I love you...

Disturbing him felt wrong, she did however want to be close to him.

Lowering herself to the arm rest of the chair Prerna rests her head on his knee.

Not realising he was alert even with his eyes shut.

Opening his eyes to see Prerna rested on his knee, Rishab passes his palm over her hair “Prerna”, he says softly wondering if she was tired or if it was something else. This was unusual of her.

“Mr bajaj “.. he hears back from her, “haath mat hatayega “.. (don’t take your hand away)

There was a lot of emotion within the few words he did use.

He gave out his hand to lift her up and steady her to perch on the arm of his chair. Once she was perched on the side he looked towards her with a soft gaze.

“I don’t intend...to but you are strong enough even without me Prerna” He said wrapping his hand around hers in the process realising that she was still in a fluster.

Her hand was unsteady. She didn’t look him in the eyes, her cheeks had gone a crimson shade, she seemed nervous a little to his amusement . Rishabh liked the idea of testing the waters see how nervous his new bride was feeling.

Taking her hand within his he raised it to his lips and placed a kiss on the back of palm whilst watching her closely.

His eyes a little playful whilst Prerna flinched a little.

His next kiss was further up her arm then into the crux of her neck. With each one of them she felt her heart beating faster.

“Tell me when it gets too much won’t you Mrs Bajaj” he whispered up into her ear she replied nervously with her eyes.

The fact that he cared for her, was attracted to her, was in love with her was so evident in his ways. Prerna knew what she’d been feeling for him over the past few days but she only understood the depth of what he felt for her now.

Now when he had picked up in his arms carried her over to his bed placed her in the centre . He continued to kiss and caress her this time down her neckline into her chest. Wrapping his hand around her waist unravelling her gently, seductively. The night went on this way. His love was gentle, authoritative at times but meaningful and her response that of new bride.

Finally they're married 🤩...Veena is an unexpected but pleasant surprise.... That's so nice if RB to bring her in for Prerna's sake.... The entire marriage part was beautiful.... And PreRish moments were soft and enchanting.... Esp that armchair part.... Emotional intimacy is much stronger than physical intimacy and I'm happy to see them getting closer emotionally too.... It'll make their marriage more strong.... Wonderful update 👏👏👏

They are indeed and emotional intimacy is the best thing about Rishab and Prerna. That is something Prerna didn’t have with Anurag.
(personal opinion) because they didn’t talk as intimately as Rishab and Prerna.
I think they are emotionally close and that is what has made Prerna fall for Mr bajaj that and his charm of course.
