Dev and Maya were both trash people and characters. Rhea 100% deserved custody she financially and emotionally took care of the family while Dev was a manchild trying to find purpose and ended up having an affair. He abandoned his family so no he shouldn't get custody and he was so mentally abusive towards his kid.

Any proof that Dev was taking out his frustrations on the kid or is it again just a headcanon?

Rhea had to work hard, she had to focus on her job, she had to be a career woman. Nothing wrong in all that, but these are the things which are the reason she wasn't a good mother. Rhea wasn't a superwoman who can do everything. Rhea was a bad mom, just accept this fact. And if Dev doesn't have the right to call her a bad mother then Rhea too doesn't have any right to call Dev Namard.

And who decides what is “acting like a girl” and “acting like a boy”?? Every individual and culture has different ideas of what’s feminine and what’s masculine...and for that matter Dev’s son was hardly going to school in a dress or anything 😂! He just preferred dance and music over sports and had a quiet, introvert personality.

Dev’s obsession with getting the kid to play football although he had no interest in it was proof that his own frustrations were involved in his behaviour...definitely not a head canon.

Plus what did Rhea even do to become a “bad mom” besides working all the time? I never saw her treat their son the way Dev did...let alone anything worse! If by Dev’s and your logic Rhea is a bad mom just for that then Dev is a TERRIBLE father!

And finally if Dev was such a traditional guy who thinks being a housewife/ stay at home mom is the only way to be a good mother then why did he make no attempt to study/train to do some other job?

Really? Give his marriage a second chance after betraying his wife? Wow what a great man! Yes scolding a kid for being emotional is being emotionally abusive

Still don’t understand the point of ADHM , I mean KANK at least had some truth to it , what story did ADHM tell?

Apparently KJo's own story. He fell in love twice. Neither of them loved him back. And going by KJo's book , he is a manchild who will hold pettiest of the things against you. So he still wants those two to suffer some kind of pain and he is not sure when it will happen in real life. So he made a film to have that sadist pleasure through Alizey. 🤪

No I'm not talking about whether infidelity shown in the film was right or wrong. That has been discussed a million times. Here's a little but important thing.

When Dev (SRK) and Rhea (Preity) took divorce, why was it that custody of Arjun (their kid) went to Rhea when it was mentioned previously in the film that Rhea was so much engrossed in her career, that she didn't have time for her son and it was Dev who took care of him. She even taunted Dev that how they have reversed their gender roles while doing upbringing of their son. That she was the man of the house and that's why she couldn't become his mother.

She agreed that she's not a good mother and it was Dev who played mother's role in their son's life. So wasn't Rhea taking Arjun from Dev despite knowing that she can't give time to his son because of being a career woman was nothing but a selfish act?

I don't think the custody battle was even shown in the movie....I think Dev out of guilt moved out leaving the child with his mother.....In the eyes of the law....both mother and father have an equal right over the child unless its an infant who needs nurturing from his mother......if both the parents are capable of taking the child they both get equal custody.

Having said that KANK is a horible movie where two people who had extramarital affair got together in the end..😳...the movie could have been good had they changed the ending where both of them had suffered somehow...anyways...loved SRK's acting...he was the best part as the cranky and obnoxious Dev.
