Yup he just has big ideals but he doesn't know how to do it practically. He is living in his world of all comforts of roy chowdhary. Though he doesn't flaunt it much but he does have that pride of being a roy chowdhary. He needs to come out of his comfort zone

You know i always feel this about him- he wants to change the world but is not ready to come out of his comfort zone. Even after he married bon, he doesn't want his life to change in anyway. He is not even interested what that kid is doing. He is just happy reading his books and being preachy. To change the perspective of people he cannot sit in his study and dream, he needs to come out of his home and see the reality
