Actually very true.. MM was a very tortured soul since childhood and hence when she fell in love it was so obsessive.. ppl with such pain need equalizing love to over come..but arjun was too self absorbed in his friendship and others and Maya insecurity increased and made her selfish and cray more and more..

His love never equalised the pain she went through.. MJS changed because Rudra love weighed more than her hate and love triumphed finally..
