Such a tough episode for both . I hated mahira and paras there. Paras toh was ugggggggh !!! Also asim saying she is jeqlous because of her feelings for paras. Ughhhhhhh !! Sid also mentioned asim . And that push sana gave . My god !! Till date I am not able to watch that. I dont know why. Must have been sooooooo embarrassing for sid. Salman laughed it away so it was all good.

And that main jealous nahi hoon mahira tore my heart . But salman coming in for her kind of gave it a happy ending.

One thing I can’t bear of Sana’s and I have said this in my private chats, is Sana calling Sidharth, Sidharth Shukla or Shukla. Just as I have felt like slapping Sidharth whenever he threw filthy words at her, I always felt like slapping her whenever she said his entire name out loud, especially when as a taunt. And he wouldn’t bat an eye at that!

For quite some time I didn’t get my strong reaction to this and then I realised that I belong to a cultural context where we attach “brother” to the names of our husbands or even call them just brother as a mark of respect when they are elder to us. In my grandmother’s generation, taking husbands by their name too was considered disrespectful and that still goes in many interior quarters of India. So to call older husbands by their full name or just surname, especially in anger is still like a big no no in my head. Feels insulting to their stature and position in our lives. And this is what triggered me and I realised Sana came from a dysfunctional home in many ways and social and personal etiquette is something she will learn along the way under Sidharth’s patient guidance. He is surely her all- mentor, guide, father, mother, brother, husband... everything. Touchwood.

Ofcourse there are things Sidharth too will have to work on when he loses his temper, but that’s not my point here :)
