She could have been the Bachchan bahu and lived a completely contrasting life altogether. Damn, one decision and it changed her life upside down.

But I'm glad she's out of that toxic marriage. Better late than never. Ideally she should have walked out on him during the honeymoon itself. (If the guy can behave like shit during the honeymoon phase, you can be rest assured that he's not going to get any better). She could have had a completely new life with another man who'd be loving and respectful.

That auction part in honeymoom sounds over dramatic... i can imagine fights after few months in marriage but auction is like horrible... plus why would she have 2 kids with the man if this was the case. I can imagine being with him so that the image doesn’t spoil but having 2 kids is like huge!!!! If this is true... boy I’m shocked!!!

Maybe her husband said it as a joke but I doubt he “actually auctioned” her off. There’s no way the Kapoors would just let that go. Especially since they’re so powerful and well connected

He tried to auction her off and she still stayed with him and went on to have children with that guy? Either this story thoroughly made up or her mother has done irreparable damage to the girl to make her go through so much shit in life.

Okay, not victim shaming but: Why did she stay with him after he or his friend (sounds messed up) auctioned her on her honeymoon. Also why were the friends there at their honeymoon.

She should've just walked out then and there, and maybe picked up her Bollywood career or done something on TV. Also she should have sued his sorry ass.

Maybe things were not this easy back then but Kapoors are pretty powerful too. The marriage sounds horrible, wonder how she lived through it for years and also had 2 kids.

There are horrible people out there, I wish women would be strong and stand up for themselves. Everyone deserves better than to go through abuse and insult.

Lolo's life has been tragic since beginning. Was pushed into films in very young age, engagement broke off and now victim of abuse and yet she always put up a happy face and maintain sanity never lose her cool. Hats off.
