And this sums up the entire reason on why Anurag Basu did what he did. When Komo said that her love superceded everything as she has come back from the pangs of death only for him, Anu would have got an idea of her obsession. Even then he didn't succumb to her demands. Only when she showed him the video of Pre pushing Viraj off the cliff and threatened him that she will edit it in such a way that all ways to save Pre will be erased, then only he knew how serious she was. She even warned him not to play smart because a copy of everything was with her people who will release the videos once they miss to get a call from her even for one day. Yes, we can argue that Anu should have gone for the case being filed and prove Pre did it for self defense. But was it really a self defense act? It would have been self defense if Anu had pushed Viraj. And evenif it could be argued as self defense, going by how powerful Komo is & her contacts are and how things move slowly in Indian legal system, wouldn't Pre along with Sneha had to spend some years in the jail?Then too Anu would have been bashed for not accepting Komo's deal, saying he was heartless to send a mother & kid to jail and that he thought only of his peace of mind as he couldn't accept Komo in his life. So, either way Anu would be bashed and I am glad that Anu chose this option. Because, both Anu and Pre, instead of choosing an easy way out, either by taking their lives or by being selfish for their own worldly lives, agreed to Komo's & Bajaj's deals respectively. And by doing so, they chose to live a suffocating soul-dead lifeless marriage as long as they breathed air into their physical being. Only a person with a strong heart can have the guts to do what these two do in the name of loving the other.

Still that doesnt justify him separating a young mother from her 2 days old daughter.. and this is our main problem here with Anurag Basu..

Who gave him the right to be GOD to everyone?

So no matter what they show and do in the future, how will they justify this 8 years of separations? The 8 years Prerna spent in grieves.. The pain of losing her child..

I feel that story is yet to unfold.we should wait patiently instead of jumping for conclusion.

If it wasn't a self defense like you put it, then ideally Prerna SHOULD go to jail and pay for the crime she committed! Why should she get a free pass?

We always said this.. Anurag will even get away with murder because his heart is in the right place..

The fact that he needs justifying and defending over and over again proves a point..

One thing is for sure, the makers will always stick to the main theme : Living for each other.. So even they will try to justify his act.. We have seen it in the last 2 episode, his monologues.. Dont they think its a bit too late?

What Anurag did is nothing like what Prerna did. Prerna chose to marry someone to save Anurag. Not a scratch on him. So had he didnt spend his life in jail away from everyone he loved. She thought about his family and how they would be shattered if he goes to prison. And he had his whole family in the time of great 'emotional' stress.

Anurag physically threw a mother FL off a bridge AND separated her 2 DAYS OLD DAUGHTER from her. Did not let her family know where their daughter was. For 8 years. While he is married to the Vamp and they have a daughter.Still living in luxury. Not paying one heed to where Prerna is. How she is. Without family. None of those decisions were his to take . Who the hell was he to play GOD like this. Nobody.

There is no comparison. Nothing, I repeat,nothing can ever justify his cruelty.
