If the CVs can bring in the actor to just play a road crossing scene, then they could have easily given a phone convo between Pre & Veena which would have justified Pre more. Because CVs have not still addressed Veenamaa's concern on Pre's whereabouts. So, according to me, instead of justifying Pre it has caused more damage to her. It is just portraying her as a selfish person who is completely absorbed in her revenge plan.
